Today we pride ourselves in offering traditional food in harmony with modern cooking. Dine in splendour in our Courtyard Restaurant with our table d hote dinner menu offered every evening, where the menu is depicted by the seasons and the fresh produce available. Our Chef will cater for any dietary requirements and is always happy to cook your favourite dishes (with a little notice of course). The Easedale Bar, Four Seasons Conservatory and Helvellyn Lounge offer a comfortable spot to watch the world go by, enjoy a scrumptious snack at lunchtime or a spot of afternoon tea.

7 Alternatively pop next door to the Lamb Inn, our traditional village pub. Enjoy a cosy and relaxing atmosphere in the snug Lamb Inn with a pint of hand-pulled traditional beer and a tasty bar meal to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites.

Wordsworth s homes at Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount near Ambleside, Beatrix Potter s Hill Top house at Sawrey and watercolour collection at the Armitt Museum in Ambleside are well worth a visit, not forgetting beautiful Brantwood by Coniston Water, where John Ruskin thought and wrote.

16 HOW TO FIND US... From the south, take the M6 to junction 36 and follow the A591 through Windermere and Ambleside, to Grasmere, take the first turning off the mini-roundabout into the village. From the north, take the M6 to junction 40, head west on the A66 and turn onto the A591, signposted St John s in the Vale, continue south and take the first turning into Grasmere village.
