President Mike Gallaher called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. David Peeples led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Mike announced that there would be a moment of silence to remember our member and friend, Mary Jane Robertson. Following the moment of respect, the announcement was made that $100 would be donated to the American Cancer Society in Mary Jane s name. Mike then announced that David Peeples would fulfill the balance of the year, Mary Jane s term. Mike introduced the OCC Officers for the year 2011: President: Mike Gallaher Vice President: Randy Volmer Secretary/Administrative Assistant: Shirley Berving Treasurer: Paul Jost Sgt. At Arms: David Peeples Membership: Mike & Dawn Stilwell NCM Ambassador, Newsletter Editor & Publisher: Chuck Watson Webmaster: Rick Poepping Charity Committee: Floyd Johnstone SECRETARY S REPORT: Shirley read a letter the Club had received from Friends of Kids with Cancer in appreciation of recent donations. A motion was made by Dick Mericle to approve the minutes as published. Seconded by Chuck Watson. Motion carried. TREASURE S REPORT: Paul read the treasurer s report. Motion to accept Treasurer s Report was made by Sandy Van Mill and seconded by Art Delhougne. Motion carried. MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Dawn Stilwell reported that we have a total of 84 primary members and 71 associate members giving us a grand total of 155 members. No motion necessary. NCM REPORT: Chuck Watson reported that the NCM has joined Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families. More than 1,300 museums across American will offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their immediate family from Memorial Day through Labor Day In Addition, NCM will offer free admission during the month of November to any American Veteran (not just active) and their immediate family as part of Military Appreciation Month. A reminder the NCM Insurance Agency offers Corvette insurance, collector car insurance and car club insurance. Their programs are not limited to just Corvettes just about any make and model of collector vehicle is accepted. Corvette Raffles include: August 11 South American Cruise for Two Raffle. 400 tickets at $75 each. August 18 Build Your Own 2012 Z06 or Grand Sport or $60,000 cash option tickets at $150 each. September Carbon Flash Metallic Centennial Edition Convertible Corvette. Unlimited number of tickets at $10 each. Page 2

3 OCC Meetings: Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of every Month and are open to members and guests. Several members purchased new vehicles. Everyone had a great time. The weather was great and Joan urged everyone to sign up for next year. June 23 Logan College Corvette Display Dr. Tony reported that there were 28 cars in attendance. Was a very nice event and everyone seemed to have lots of fun. July 2 July 4 July 9 VP Fair Parade - Jennifer Majino reported that 9 cars were in attendance and it was really hot. Webster Groves 4 th of July Parade - Karen Mericle and 4 other OCC cars participated in the event. Sports Café Corvette Car Show - Dan Breen reported that a total of 13 cars were in attendance. July 10 Highway Clean-Up - Byrle Layman on the trash pick-up. Some new participants came out this time. Byrle said that he had received a letter from the State reporting that 3788 bags of trash had been pickedup throughout the State during the recent campaign and that OCC had picked up the most total wise. July 10 Lincoln County Fair Parade, Troy, MO - According to Jim Ford there were 29 cars in attendance. It was hot, but very much appreciated. 4 Wednesday Night Dinner: Every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm a group of OCC members get together for an evening out. We go to a different restaurant every week and are always open to suggestions for new places to go. It is a great way to meet and get to know other members of the Club. All OCC members are welcome. Groups account setup where members can share ideas and information about club activities and other Corvette related issues, store photos and other club related files, set up informal opinion polls about upcoming events, add events to the calendar, and more. Also, if you want your birthday, anniversary or new additions in the newsletter, please make certain to put that information on the sign- up sheet as well. Make sure your name is on the sign- up sheet for dinner next month for Joan Walter. 50/50 Drawing: The winner of the 50/50 Drawing of $93 was Lyle Real. Lyle gave it back to the Club.
