Glass close to the eternal face reduces the potential of dust buildup on transom ledges. Interlocking split mullions to accommodate epansion and contraction. The mm framing system has a variety of transom and mullion alternatives. Will accept glass from 6 to 10.50mm thickness. Full perimeter frame allows this system to be fitted into sub-head, sub-sill and sub-jambs if required. Four snap-on cover options. Designed for one or two-storey shopfronts. 5 Design Features FaceLINE shopfront framing system has been designed to complement Elevate Series 406 FrontGLAZE and 702 & 704 SlideMASTER sliding doors. Using a pocketed perimeter frame solves a major problem with this type of framing system - how to fit sub-frames successfully. Glass close to the eternal face reduces the potential of dust buildup on transom ledges. Interlocking split mullions to accommodate epansion and contraction. The mm framing system has a variety of transom and mullion alternatives. Will accept glass from 6 to 10.50mm thickness. Full perimeter frame allows this system to be fitted into sub-head, sub-sill and sub-jambs if required. Four snap-on cover options: Flat vertical and horizontal covers. Raised vertical and flat horizontal covers. Raised vertical and horizontal covers. Raised vertical and splayed horizontal covers. We offer structurally glazed mullions or transoms on the 150mm frame version (Series 607). Note that we don't recommend structural mullions and transoms on the same frame. Replaces: MARCH 08 Scale: not to scale High Water Resistance: We have successfully tested this system for compliance with relevant Australian Standards. We achieved a water resistance of 600Pa. Limitations: The snap covers are retained by friction; the mullions and transoms will resist a pull-off load of 2.0kN/m with a safety factor of 2. For mullions at 1200mm centres, this equates to a wind load not more than 1700Pa. Higher wind loads may require screw on flat snap-on covers or an alternative system. PAGE 1.361

6 DESIGN FEATURES Replaces: march 08 Scale: FULL SIZE The full size details on this page show how we will use the snap-on cover mullions and/or transoms with a full width perimeter frame. Raised splayed snap-on cover bead illustrated, other snap-on covers available as shown on later pages. This design feature makes it possible to fit this type of framing into sub-frames, as shown below. Concealed drainage holes Alternative: We also offer a 150mm frame width version of this system, refer Series 607. CAD file: DWG 407.FXD.1 Full width beaded sill suits sub-sill installation. Concealed drainage holes allow water to escape from the glazing pocket down into the sub-sill area. Sub-sill are always recommended under FaceLINE framing if you are serious about keeping the water out.
