Click appropriate tab: Cut Order/Stock Check allows you to place orders for, Hardware and Swatches. You can also check stock for fabrics. Open Order Inquiry allows you to check status on any order. Custom Orders allows you to place custom orders. Decorative Search SWATCHES SAMPLES DYE LOT CUTTINGS Memo Samples are the same size as shown in your swatch books. (Maximum of 5 per day at no charge) Memo Samples ordered by 2:00 PM are sent that day via First Class mail. Dye Lot Cuttings are available at no charge. They are sent within one day via First Class Mail. CREDIT TERMS A current Credit Application is required for all accounts. Terms are Net 30 Days. A Service Charge of 1½% per month is added to invoices not paid within 30 days. We accept Fax A Check payments that are electronically drafted from your bank account. We also accept payments with all major credit cards. Include the following information: Cardholder Card Number Expiration Date Cardholder Address Zip Code Telephone Number CUT YARDAGE ORDERS Cut yardage orders received by 4:00 PM (EST) are shipped the same day. When drop shipping to another fabricator, we recom mend that you attach a swatch to your fabricator order, or have them send a sample to you for approval prior to fabrication. We cannot be responsible if the fabricator cuts the wrong fabric. There are times when we cannot fill an order in one piece. Please include your cut lengths with your order. This helps to fill it if more than one piece is required. In order to avoid back order delays, we may fill your order in more than one piece, but with three added yards as an accommodation. DAMAGED SHIPMENTS If your product is damaged in shipment, follow this procedure: Upon receipt, inspect the packaging immediately. If packaging is damaged, refuse the shipment and sign the receipt as Damaged/Refused. Contact Carole s at to report the damage. If there is no visible damage, but it is discovered when the package is opened, keep packaging materials and products for inspection. Contact Carole within 7 business days at to report the problem. Product must be returned in original packaging. Carole s will pick up the product for inspection. RETURN POLICY If you have merchandise you wish to return, follow this procedure: Call Customer Assistance Specify to the representative: What you wish to return. Why you wish to return it. How many boxes you will use to return it. Carole will assign and mail a unique return authorization number to you. Included will be mailing labels to attach to the packages. Packages without authorization labels will not be accepted. Cut Yardage: It is your responsibility to inspect fabric for flaws, color and pattern correctness, and dye lot prior to cutting. No returns will be accepted once fabric has been cut. Silk fabrics and fabricated product are not returnable. Purchased quantities of less than 10 yards may not be returned. You may return cut yardage in the quantity purchased, within 30 days of the invoice date provided that it has not been cut and the purchased quantity exceeds 10 yards. A restocking fee of 25% is charged for all accommodation returns. ated Products: Custom products may be returned for defective fabric or workmanship within 30 days of the invoice date. Drapery Hardware: In stock hardware items may be returned within 30 days of the invoice date for accommodation credit. All parts must be intact and in the original carton. A 25% restocking charge will apply. Custom cut hardware cannot be returned. CANCELLATION POLICY Custom product orders cannot be canceled once fabrication has begun. The order will be completed, shipped and billed. LIABILITY Carole s liability on products and fabric is limited to the net amount of the invoice. Carole s does not pay for any installation or re-installation charges. 2

5 General Information and Terms of Sale ORDER CONFIRMATIONS When a custom product order is entered, you receive via fax or a confirmation of products and price by line. Please make sure we have your current fax and address. Expedited Shipping When you require expedited shipping, our Traffic Department will route it according to your request. Expedited services readily available are: FedEx UPS Truck shipments are routed via carriers that will handle the larger shipments and make a residential delivery if required. All shipping charges will be added to the invoice. FABRIC BACKLIGHTING Information appearances can vary when backlit by the sun. Hold the swatch up to the sun to see how it will appear at the window. If the appearance changes, consider blackout lining or interlining. FABRIC CARE & CLEANING Never wash or launder any custom product. Use good judgment to determine the time for cleaning draperies. Vacuum them twice a year to remove surface dust accumulations. Choose a dry cleaner carefully. If there is any doubt that they can successfully clean the item, have them test clean a small area prior to processing. FABRIC PATTERN REPEATS The s listed in the Book are close approximations. These can vary slightly from one print lot to the next. Always check the fabric carefully for pattern matching prior to cutting. GENERAL FABRIC INFORMATION can be affected by climatic conditions such as varying humidity, causing fabric to expand or contract after installation. Fluctuations in Moire, Antique Satin and casements are normal. s do wear out. This varies with use and location. Many fabrics have a degree of bias in the printing or weaving. Plaids, checks, horizontal stripes and open weaves may not match at the seams. s on these are not guaranteed to match from pleat to pleat or fold to fold. s will deteriorate from prolonged sun exposure. Line all draperies with quality linings. Add interlining in cases of extreme exposure. Keep upholstery away from direct sunlight. Silk is woven from natural fibers. Slubs and irregularities in the weave are normal. These enhance the beauty of silk. Silk fibers will accept dyes differently, resulting in possible color variation within the bolt. It is also more susceptible to sun fading and is not guaranteed against fading or color fastness. FABRIC RESERVES may be placed on hold for five business days. You will receive an On Hold Reference Number. Refer to this when placing your order. DYE LOT MATCHING Dye lot match is not guaranteed unless the order is accompanied by a swatch. We retain bolt numbers on all custom orders for one year. BACK ORDERS & FILL RATE Carole s has a 95%+ fill rate on orders. If a back order occurs, we will make three attempts to notify you. EXCEPTION CODES With the wide variety of fabrics that Carole has to offer, there will be a few fabrics that tend not to work well in certain applications. Exception codes are listed to the right of the Per Yard. Exception codes (numbered) are listed below. 1. Random textures/slubs will not be pattern matched. 3. Pattern best suited for shades less than 51 wide. 4. pattern will be slightly hidden by the folds of the Hobbled, Front Fold and Reverse Fold shades. 3
