4 SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE! - (864) Serving Youth and Adults With Special Needs Camp Spearhead Residential summer camp for youth and adults with special needs and disabilities of all levels at Pleasant Ridge Camp & Retreat Center. THE WEEKEND PROGRAM Weekend activities for individuals with special needs - Furman football games, reteats, Day at Camp, pizza, bowling, and more. SPECIAL OLYMPICS Spring Games at Furman University April 10, Summer Games in Columbia May 3-5, Washington Center Day at Bob Jones University in September, Fall Games at the Pavilion in October, Year-round training in 12 sports. Programs for youth and seniors Visit throughout the year for times, dates, and fees. summer day camps Greenville Rec knows a thing or two about having a blast at summer day camp. Youth ages 6-14 spend their days swimming, playing sports and games, exploring nature, creating crafty masterpieces, and taking field trips. Multiple locations throughout the county. Visit for locations and registration information - Register Online PROGRAMS... COMMUNITY CENTER programs Community centers are integral to the neighborhoods they call home - Mt. Pleasant, Sterling, Freetown, Slater, Happy Hearts, Woodfield, Staunton Bridge, and Brutontown. Neighbors gather for community meetings, health and wellness classes, and seasonal events. Young people engage in after-school and summer programs, and seniors find a wealth of opportunities for enrichment. AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS Greenville Rec is cool for after-school. Kids get homework help and a chance to be active with sports and games. Programs available at Slater Elementary School, Mt. Pleasant, Brutontown, Freetown, Sterling Community Centers, and the Pavilion. SENIOR ACTIVITiES Seniors are a vital part of our programming, whether hurling horseshoes in the Senior Sports Classic or enjoying fellowship with friends on field trips. You will regularly find folks sewing, cooking, crafting, and learning how to improve and maintain their health. Programs offered at Freetown, Sterling, and Mt. Pleasant Community Centers, as well as, Slater Hall Annex and Westside Aquatic Complex. Visit throughout the year for times, dates, and fees.

5 Athletics BMX - Southside Park Regional and national tournament venue, weekly practice times and races - YOUTH FOOTBALL Ages 6-13 Team registration is July 1-26, at the Recreation District s Administrative Office. Season begins September 5. Youth Flag Football registration is February Season begins in March. YOUTH SOCCER Spring and Fall for youth ages 5-18 Visit to find a team in your neighborhood. Little League Baseball Spring and Fall for youth ages 5-18 Visit to find a team in your neighborhood. LACROSSE Youth and adults: Summer Box Leagues, Fall Field Leagues, and Youth Spring Leagues. WALKING & CYCLING Greenville Health system swamp rabbit trail Joggers, walkers, and bicyclists will enjoy the Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Trail. This 18-mile paved greenway trail connects downtown Greenville, Furman University, and Travelers Rest. Additional sections in Fountain Inn and Lake Conestee Nature Park. ADULT SOFTBALL Men s open, coed open, church, and coed church leagues; Spring team registration through March 8, and Fall team registration through July 12, at the Recreation District s Administrative Office - Register Online ADULT SOCCER Divisions for coed 7v7, men s 7v7 and 11v11, and women s 7v7 - Spring registration through February 15, Summer registration through May 10, Fall registration through August 9, Winter outdoor registration through December 20, Winter indoor registration December 1-30 Register Online Ice and Inline Hockey Year-round hockey classes, Try-Hockey-for-Free clinics, adult and youth leagues, and tournaments at the Pavilion - Register Online Tennis Classes, leagues, individual instruction, and tournaments at the Pavilion. GREENVILLE HEALTH SYSTEM SWAMP RABBIT 5K May 3 / 6:30 pm / The GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail at Gateway Park / This is the 2nd largest 5K run in South Carolina with a great celebration afterwards. It is a Corporate Shield event so bring the co-workers.
