23 PWR SG Examination Guidelines QDA Requirement The NDE TAC made the decision to include array probe eddy current data into the PDD/QDA Exam The NDE TAC would like to notify and remind utilities and vendors of the requirements within Section G of the PWR SG Examination Guidelines (Rev.8) When new techniques or damage mechanisms are added to the QDA, the NDE TAC Chair or equivalent will notify the industry. QDA requalification shall be performed within one year of EPRI addition of a new technique/damage mechanism to the QDA qualification process. The individual should be considered requalified if the practical examination requirements of G are met for the new technique/damage mechanism. The individual s records are to be updated to reflect requalification on new technique/damage mechanisms. The updated PDD/QDA will require all QDA's to requalify within one year of the revised PDD release Once the revision process has been completed the SGMP NDE TAC will officially notify the SG inspection industry, at that time the one year requalification requirement will start (tentative schedule - 1 st quarter 2017) No action from you or your company is required at this time If you need additional information concerning the Examination Guideline requirements or have other questions concerning the revision process please contact Rich Guill Additional correspondence: notification to NDE distribution list ( sent out ) SGMP General Letter (SGMP dated ) EPRIQ.com notification (sent out ) 23
