8 E 1-8 Request to City Council, cont d: Icepark Group Inc. respectfully requests that Community and Public Services Committee: 1. Recommend to Council approval in principle the creation of a Canada 150 IceSkatePark in Brampton, as a unique city park; and 2. Direct staff to present to Committee of Council by March 4, 2015 a plan on how the park can be brought to a reality by 2017, in sufficient detail to enable Council to take next steps. Icepark Group asks that Council decide Go or No-Go based on a feasibility study that includes Operating and capital cost considerations Broader benefits to residents (health, social, liveability) Strategic benefits to the City (Stature, profile, tourism, economy)
