To: Mrs. Amanda Thompson- Planning Director Re: Planning Commission Application for Sa pori di Napoli - Patio Enclosure Project Address: 314 Church Street, Decatur, GA 33 Existing condition: Sapori di Napoli has an existing outdoor patio hich can only be use on a seasonal basis. The patio is currently limited by the restaurant building, planters along t he side alk and the parking area and a lo concrete all. The intend of this project is to create an enlarge a patio enclosure that ill provide seating for guests year around. The interior of the existing restaurant ill remain as is. The foot print of the proposed patio enclosure ill increase the existing patio footprint. (Existing Patio Area = 418 square feet, Proposed Patio Area = 593 square feet) The material for the ne patio structure ill be treated ood hich ill be stained or painted. The roof ill be a corrugated galvanied metal roof slopping from the Church Street side toards the parking lot. A vinyl acrylic enclosure ill be attached to the sides here lo alls ill define the limits of the space. For t hese lo alls as ell as for the parapet e are proposing raised horiontal slats (painted cementltous boards) hich continue the horiontal direction of the brick on the existing structure. The existing storefront on the south side o-f the building ill be modified to fit a door and allo access to the patio thru the restaurant. To acrylic doors (one on the Church Street side and one on the parking lot side} ill allo for outside access of the patio. The floor of the patio ill remain t he existing concrete. Electrical heaters and fans ill be mounted to the roof structure to condition the space as needed. A roof covered area from the kitchen and a side entry door to the ne enclosed patio ill allo for covered food service traffic. This covered area ill not be enclosed.
