3 PRESERVING WHAT S PRECIOUS THANK YOU voters for your resounding support for Preservation Parks through approval of the park levy in November. The Preservation Parks staff doesn t take your faith in us lightly; we are committed to protecting what matters not just the natural and historic features of the county, but the love for the natural world that they inspire. We ll continue to work toward expanding multi-use trails in Delaware County, opening a new park on Pollock Road in Delaware Township, and permanently protecting 230 acres by opening a park along Alum Creek in Orange Township. We ll expand educational programming in Delaware County schools and in the parks. We also thank our volunteers who have given so freely of their time and talents promoting the Park District s mission to all visitors. The new parks and programs are possible because you were willing to support Preservation Parks. We are grateful and look forward to serving you. 1
