I m excited to report that preparations are currently underway for our Annual Food City Charity Dinner & Golf Outing. I would certainly like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their tremendous support and generosity in years past. Thanks to your efforts, last year we raised a record $310,000 to benefit our friends and neighbors in need throughout the region, including American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Red Cross, YMCA/YWCA, March of Dimes, Susan G. Komen, Dr. Robert F. Thomas Foundation, AARP Foundation, Reach Them to Teach Them, Niswonger Children s Hospital and numerous others. As most of you know, a board of qualified individuals have been hand selected to oversee the distribution of these funds, which are now administered through our Food City Charitable Foundation. This year s event will once again take place in beautiful Sevierville, TN. Enclosed you will find a complete informational packet, including registration details and fees. The Dinner and Golf Pairings will take place on Monday evening, May 12 th at the Sevierville Event Center. The Golf Outing will follow on Tuesday, May 13 th at the Sevierville Golf Club and River Island Golf Club. Accommodations are available at Wilderness at the Smokies Waterpark Resort.
