The average winter temperature during the day is a pleasant 70 to 80 degrees; in summer (June through September), the mercury regularly tops out at over 100 degrees, though the low humidity makes the heat much more bearable. PVA S TIP: While spring is the most popular time to vacation in Palm Springs, the fall season has comparably amazing temperatures, averaging in the high 70s, plus a decided advantage: smaller crowds and lower prices. It's an ideal time to visit. GETTING THERE Your residence is located 10 minutes from the Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) or approximately two hours from either Los Angeles (LAX) or San Diego (SAN). American, Delta, United and US Airways offer year-round service to PSP, while some other airlines offer seasonal flights. GETTING AROUND Palm Springs is a sprawling, urban area and we highly recommend a rental car throughout your stay for convenience and cost savings. However, if you prefer private transportation or a taxi, your concierge will be more than happy to arrange that for you. Keep in mind that club partner Avis is always a great option. 2 THINGS TO KNOW CHECK IN/ARRIVAL PROCESS Your concierge will greet you at your residence for check-in and an orientation. Early check-in can be accommodated if it s available (additional charges may apply) but, if the residence is not ready, your concierge will be happy to suggest activities or restaurants for you to visit while you wait. In case of an arrival after 8 p.m., your concierge will provide you with instructions and then greet you the next morning after you arrive. GROCERIES For just the cost of groceries, your Destination Concierge will be happy to fulfill your grocery order. Simply complete the order form on your Inspirato.com account at least 72 hours prior to your arrival. Additional shopping trips are $25 plus the cost of groceries. IN-RESIDENCE DINING OPTIONS Your Destination Concierge can arrange for a private chef to come to your residence and cook a fantastic meal right in your own kitchen. You can devise your menu and options during the planning process. SPECIAL NOTE: Private chef reservations fill up fast during high season (October through April), so if you re traveling during that time, be sure to let your Personal Vacation Advisor or Destination Concierge know as soon as possible. STAY FIT Hiking is the activity of choice in Palm Springs. From nearby landscapes to a day trip in Joshua Tree National Park, these grounds were made for walking. If you want to find a fitness center, we recommend Gold's Gym, World Gym and Palm Springs Fitness Center (accessible via an entrance fee). For tennis, we recommend the Plaza Racquet Club. Here you can play on one of nine lit courts, book a private instructor and rent everything you need. HOUSEKEEPING Daily. TIPPING GUIDELINES While our Destination Concierge teams and housekeeping staff welcome and appreciate recognition for exceptional service, tipping is entirely up to you based on your level of satisfaction. If you would like to leave a gratuity, we suggest the following general guidelines: + Destination Concierge: $20-$50 per day depending on the level of service you experienced. + Housekeeping: $5-$7 per occupied room per evening is typical for luxury hospitality. + Restaurants: The customary 15-20% of your total bill is appropriate. + Vendors: Gratuity is dependent on the complexity of the experience or service, so we suggest using your discretion.

3 THINGS TO DO SPA No need to leave the comfort of your villa to indulge in a spa treatment, as in-residence appointments are available. If you want to get out for some quality unwinding, Palm Springs boasts some exceptional spas. We recommend the Rock Spa at the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs or SpaTerre at Riviera Palm Springs both offer a range of massages, facials, body treatments and more. GOLF With more than 100 golf courses in the Coachella Valley and warm, sunny days year-round, it's not easy to choose where to tee off. That's why we've listed our top picks in Palm Springs and the East Valley. PALM SPRINGS + Escena Golf Club (located minutes away) This top-ranked 18-hole championship course is known for unobstructed sightlines of the San Jacinto Mountains and generous driving corridors. + Indian Canyons Golf Resort (located five to 15 minutes away) Once upon a time, Hollywood celebrities such as Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope played this course, set on 550 acres of Native American tribal property. EAST VALLEY (30-45 minutes southeast of Palm Springs) + PGA West Try one of three legendary public courses: the Greg Norman Course, the challenging Nicklaus Tournament Course and the world-famous Pete Dye-designed Stadium Golf Course. + SilverRock Resort This 18-hole Arnold Palmer Classic Course is definitely challenging, but still enjoyable for all ages. + Desert Willow Golf Resort The two 18-hole courses here are known for large lakes, desert wasteland and bunkers throughout. DESTINATION HIGHLIGHT The famous San Andreas Fault runs through parts of Palm Springs, bringing fascinating geological diversity to the area. FAMILY There isn t a single word to describe the Living Desert. MUST-DO Let some altitude change your attitude on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, where you'll enjoy spectacular views of the Chino Canyon from an elevation of 8,500 feet. This is the largest aerial rotating tramway in the world. ROMANTIC Palm Springs really does have something for everyone, including the romantic at heart. Whether it's a sunset dinner after a spa treatment, a waterfall picnic or a horseback ride through the Indian Canyons, your moment for two is just a call to your concierge away. If you re visiting from October to May, we recommend a scenic hot air balloon ride.

4 THINGS TO DO ADVENTURE Palm Springs has a rich aviation history (a visit to the Palm Springs Air Museum is a must) and you can be a part of it too. Try a biplane ride high above the desert to get your heart racing. An expert pilot will let you gaze into the wild blue yonder from a seat in a historic open-air aircraft. NATURE With strikingly unique geologic formations and its otherworldly eponymous trees, Joshua Tree National Park is a heralded destination for rock climbers, hikers, bikers, photographers, stargazers and lovers of desert flora and fauna. Plan to devote at least two hours to spend here there s a lot you won t want to miss. The park is located about one hour from downtown Palm Springs. LOCAL Located at the southern tip of Palm Springs, the Indian Canyons area is where locals go to hike. Easy-tomoderate trails meander through the area s multiple canyons, which are the ancestral homes of the Agua Caliente Cahuilla Native American tribes (vestiges of their history can still be found in some parts). Your concierge can provide trail maps so you can easily navigate the rugged terrain. PVA S TIP: Due to extreme heat and conditions, use extra caution when spending time outdoors in Palm Springs. Be sure to bring plenty of extra water whenever you re hiking. ROMANTIC Le Vallauris (located 10 minutes away) This elegant eatery takes a cue from what s arguably the most romantic city on Earth: Paris. French flourishes are found in both the decor and cuisine, which rotates seasonally and is often available as a prix fixe chef s tasting menu. Be sure to get a seat on the superb patio where a giant tree provides plenty of shade from the sun.

Many of the kitchen s creations are elevated interpretations of classic American fare with French influences. Think fresh seafood, great cocktails and shared plates. LOCAL Trio (located five to 10 minutes away) Locals convene at this casual but stylish spot. The atmosphere is inspired by iconic Palm Springs mid-century architecture and design. Dine on comfort fare that s been prepared with a fine dining twist, but be sure to order one of the many signature cocktails.
