Just grab what you like! 20/09/19 - Match Day: Japan v Europe 1, Tokyo Stadium 19:45 Your day is free to explore Tokyo. You might visit Asakusa s Thunder Gate at Senso-ji, then take in the city from the top of Tokyo Tower. Next, board the train for a quick trip to anime and electric town Akihabara. We ll transfer you by bus in the afternoon to Tokyo Stadium for the evening match. You will be returned you to your hotel by bus after this and all matches. Meals Included: Breakfast. 21/09/19 - Match Day: New Zealand v South Africa, International Stadium Yokohama, 18:45 The morning is yours for exploring Tokyo. Why not see the city from the water? Frequent cruises depart from Nihombashi near Tokyo Station. Or stroll through upscale Ginza for some upscale shopping and traditional green tea served with a modern vibe. We ll transfer you by bus in the afternoon to the city of Yokohama, around 45 minutes south of Tokyo, to the International Stadium Yokohama for the evening match. Meals Included: Breakfast. 22/09/19 - Match Day: Ireland v Scotland, International Stadium Yokohama, 16:45 Your morning is free, and you might go for a long walk along the cherry tree-lined river in Nakameguro, stopping at some of Tokyo s best boutique coffee shops and bakeries. Or visit Ueno Park, an amazing collection of green spaces, traditional temples and architecture, museums, and an award-winning zoo before returning to Yokohama in the afternoon for today s match. 4 25/09/19 - Ise Jingu Tour Today you ll walk the ancient pilgrim s path to Ise Jingu, Japan s most important shrine. Start with the Wedded Rocks, an offshore pair of sacred stones that are a torii gate to offer prayers to the sunrise. Meet with Ama-san, women divers, while here. Enter the soaring forest surrounding Ise Jingu, and visit shrine buildings that are completely rebuilt every 20 years. Then step back into the stone streets of old Edo in Oharai-machi town and eat, drink and be merry just as the pilgrims of old used to do at end of a journey of hundreds of kilometers on foot. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch. 26/09/19 - Transfer to Osaka Board the charter bus for Osaka after breakfast. After check-in you re free to explore Osaka s cutting edge modern architecture, the riot of glowing neon reflected in the waterways, and to discover for yourself why Osaka is called the nation s kitchen. 27/09/19 - Osaka Tour Explore Namba, gateway to Osaka s southern centre and the pulsating neon and giant 3-D overhead food displays that jam the streets of Dotonbori. Cook takoyaki, grilled balls of dough with octopus, and explore Shinsekai, the New World neighbourhood built to model Paris and New York, complete with an Eiffel Tower, Japanese style. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch. 28/09/19 - Match Day: Argentina v Tonga, Hanazono Rugby Stadium, 13:45 You ll have a bit of free time in the morning before our bus transfer to Hanazono Rugby Stadium for the early afternoon match. Check out Namba Yasaka Jinja, where the shrine s alter sits inside the open mouth of a mythical Chinese lion, almost three-stories tall! 29/09/19 - Transfer to Hiroshima Morning departure by bus to the hauntingly beautiful Hiroshima. Once checked in, explore the city and ride the Hiroden streetcar around town to visit the five-story Hiroshima castle and adjacent Shukkei-en Garden, where mountains, valleys, forests and lakes are recreated in miniature. Be on the lookout for okonomiyaki, the signature dish of the region, and Hiroshima s famous oysters, which are excellent year-round. In the evening, settle in to a neighbourhood izakaya, Japan s version of a pub, for a series of small dishes to pair with the excellent local sake and beer. 30/09/19 - Hiroshima/Miyajima Tour Site of the world s first atomic bombing, the city of Hiroshima is now a symbol of the wish for world peace. Visit the Peace Memorial Park, then board a ferry to exquisite and iconic Miyajima Island, site of the floating red torii gate in front of Itsukushima Shrine. On the island, feed wild deer and walk through the gorgeous and sprawling shrine jutting out over the water. Return by ferry and visit the Kobo Brush Museum in neighbouring Kumano and make your own calligraphy brush. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch. 1/10/19 - Transfer to Oita After an emotional day in Hiroshima, we board our coach to Oita after breakfast. You re free after check-in to go onsen hopping! The area from Oita to neighboring Beppu is quite literally a hot spot for natural volcanic hot springs, many in vivid natural colors of cobalt and crimson. For dinner, try famed Bungo Beef, a rival to Kobe Beef, or fugo (blowfish) caught in local waters. Meals include: Breakfast. 2/10/19 - Match Day: South Africa v Repêchage winner, Oita Stadium, 19:15 After breakfast, you ll have free time to explore before the evening match at Oita s futuristic Big Eye Stadium. Visit a few of the hundreds of onsen that you didn t have time for yesterday! For lunch try one of the local specialties: seki-saba sashimi or one of the unique chicken tempura dishes. Meals include: Breakfast. 3/10/19 - Oita Free Day The day is yours to explore! Visit the Oita Motomachi Stone Buddha, and then get up close and personal with thousands of Japanese Macaque monkeys at Mt. Takasaki, where you can walk up or take the monorail. Visit Funai Castle Ruins at Oita Joshi Koen Park for the classic beauty of a castle keep on a moat surrounded by a sculpture-filled garden. Top it all off at City Spa Tenku, where the rooftop open-air bath overlooks the city and the ocean beyond. 4/10/19 - Transfer to Tokyo After breakfast, board our bus to the airport for you flight to Tokyo. After hotel check-in, the day is yours. Get the feel of traditional down-town Tokyo in the Sumida neighbourhood at the Edo-Tokyo Museum, and then visit Sumo Central at the nearby Kokugikan sumo tournament centre and museum. Local restaurants serve up chanko nabe, the stew eaten daily by sumo wrestlers. Meals included: Breakfast. 5/10/19 - Match Day: England v Argentina, Tokyo Stadium, 17:00 After breakfast, you re free until the afternoon match. Experience zazen meditation at Tokyo Zen Centre, go for some ninja training in Shinjuku or take a class at Tokyo Sushi Academy before the afternoon match. 6/10/19 - Match Day: New Zealand v Africa 1, Tokyo Stadium, 13:45 You have a bit of free time in the morning before the early afternoon match. Take in the exciting area around Shibuya station and join the crowd at the world s busiest intersection. Or head out early for a walk through the sacred forest of Meiji Jingu, a Shintō shrine dedicated to the Meiji emperor set in a stunning landscape. Just outside the massive torii gate is Harajuku, Tokyo s pop culture central.

5 7/10/19 - Mt. Fuji Tour Fuji-san, as it is commonly known, is the highlight of the day. Japan s tallest peak and an active volcano, it is the beloved symbol of the nation and a sacred mountain. We travel by bus to Lake Kawaguchi, a beautiful reflecting pool for Fuji-san, and continue a water theme with a walk around the Oshino Eight Ponds for views of Fuji-san and traditional, rural scenery. We meet up with some ninjas at the Oshino Ninja Village before stopping for a lunch prepared with local ingredients, and then head up to the 5th station (out of 10), for an up-close Fuji-san experience, where you may visit the Shintō shine located there. Return to Tokyo by bus in time for dinner on your own. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch 8/10/19 - Transfer to Kyoto Take the bullet train for a fast trip to Kyoto, complete with a bento box lunch onboard. You re free after check-in to explore the wonders of the Old Capital. Visit Ni-jo castle, built in 1603 by Japan s first shogun, with masterpieces painted on sliding doors and a nightingale corridor that chirps under your footsteps. Or head south to Fushimi Inari Shrine, where thousands of orange-red torii line paths up the mountain. Meals include: Breakfast, Lunch Pack. 9/10/19 - Kyoto Tour Explore western Kyoto today as we stop in at Kinkakuji, the Golden Pavilion, then get your Zen on as you gaze at Japan s most famous rock garden at Ryoan-ji. Head out of the city to Arashiyama and visit Tenryu-ji, a sprawling Zen temple compound dating to 1339, with gorgeous gardens and teahouses. End your day in awe as you traverse paths cutting through towering bamboo in the dark and mysterious Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch. 10/10/19 - Nara Tour Today we visit nearby Nara, cultural treasure chest and Japan s first permanent capital. Meet the Great Buddha at Tōdai-ji temple, see hundreds of deer in Nara Park, and experience Kasuga Grand Shrine, protectorate of the Fujiwara Clan. More than 3,000 lanterns line the walk approaching the shrine, one for each of the 3,000 Kasuga shrines throughout the country. Like many Shintō shrines, Kasuga Grand Shrine is nestled in a sacred grove, and countless small wooden shrines and mossy, ancient stone lanterns dot the maze of paths through the forest. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch. 11/10/19 - Transfer to Nagoya After breakfast, travel by bus to the castle town of Nagoya, which faces Ise Bay on Japan s Pacific Coast. You are free to explore the city after check-in. Try the Naka (central) ward for museums and pachinko parlors and the Sakae entertainment district, where you ll find the Sky-Boat Ferris wheel. 12/10/19 - Match Day: New Zealand v Italy, City of Toyota Stadium, 13:45 After breakfast we will transfer you to the next Match via chartered bus to City of Toyota Stadium and catch the awesome New Zealand v Italy. At the completion of the match you will be transferred back to Oita. 13/10/19 - Free Day After breakfast enjoy your free day in Nagoya. Visit Nagoya Castle, Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Garden, or the Shirotori ( white bird ) traditional garden where you can experience Japanese green tea and wagashi sweets in the tea ceremony house. Or head to the Osu area and see the Kannon Temple, dedicated to the Buddhist goddess of mercy, and then wander the maze of the neighbouring shopping arcade, a network of covered shopping streets complete with ice-skating rink! 14/10/19 - Today we say Sayonara as your tour comes to a close. Our team will arrange your transfer to either Narita or Haneda airport in Tokyo.
