At 5.30 pm we will meet at the reception to start our city tour through the old town.the first dinner of the pedelon guests is at a nearby trattoria, famous for its fish-specialities. 1st day, Sunday,: Naples Castellammare di Stabia, 15 km After breakfast, we ride with our bikes from the turbulent city of Naples up to the 1281 m high Vesuvius in about 45 minutes. After each participant has received his adjusted bike, we start with the first two kilometers slightly uphill, ideal for getting to know the pedelon-ebike. A half-hour ride leads directly to the crater of the Medusa Hotel & Boutique Spa is situated. From the 15,000 m² park of this former Bourbon residence, you can enjoy the views of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples before dinner. 4 tes. The 1131 m-high mountain between the Bays of Naples and Salerno got his name from the beech trees growing here in large numbers, some of which are up to 400 years old. Initially, the bike route leads slightly downhill and offers another view of the steep coast of the Sorrento, a peninsula on a volcanic tuff terrace. After a short climb to Santa Maria del Castello, a walk leads to the former fishing village of Positano on the Amalfi coast. After lunch, a very special experience awaits the guest: by boat it is a 40-minute journey, with a view of the picturesque coast of Amalfi, to where the Residence Hotel is located. This former aristocratic palace, which was converted into a hotel in the 1950 s, and modernized in 2010, is situated directly on the sea. Dinner in a small trattoria in the old town. 3rd day, Tuesday: Amalfi Giungano, 45 km The Costiera Amalfitana is very attractive, however cycling on the coastal road is not a pleasure, due to the narrowness of the road and the traffic. The best view of the so picturesque rugged coastal landscape is, however, from the sea. And so, in the late morning, the boat departs from Amalfi again and, during the half-hour ride to Salerno, once again you have a clear view of the lemon groves, which have been laboriously put into the steep slopes. The Cilent is reached after a short ride with the escort bus. By ebike with a view on the mountains of the National Park of Cilento, we go through fertile plains to Paestum, which is a good hour s cycle away. Founded as Poseidonia around 600 BC by the Greeks, the colony quickly grew in to prosperity through trade and agriculture, which is still evident today in the great temples of the 6th and 5th Centuries BC. On a guided tour, we visit the Hera, the Athena and the Poseidon temples and the Archaeological Museum with its vast antique collection. In the afternoon, at the foot of the towering mountains of the Cilento, our guests will be greeted by the Domus Laeta, a 17th century villa, transformed into a rustic and original hotel. This quietly located house has a pool with a beautiful view to the Gulf of Salerno. (Double overnight) 4th day, Wednesday: Giungano Felitto Giungano, 59 km After a short climb, today s route leads along the Monti Alburni, also called the Southern Dolomites. The white mountains of dolomitic limestone stretch over a length of 23 km and a width of 10 km. On quiet roads, we cycle through deciduous forests and small villages to Felitto. A short detour to the Gole del Calore, where the river Calore Lucano has made five deep cuts in the limestone, is worth it. At the picnic in the Cantina Rizzo, the oenologists of Gianvito will introduce us to the wines of the Cilento. Our ride from Felitto to Roccadaspide takes just under an hour. From here, a taxi takes us back to Giungano in about 30 minutes. We will enjoy dinner in a small trattoria. 5th day, Thursday: Giungano Santa Maria di Castellabate, 46 km From Giungano, the route leads us into the western part of the Cilento. Since 1998, the 1810 km² large National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano has been a UNESCO world heritage site. The cycling route takes us through the hills of the national park in a gentle descent, with a view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. After appro- ximately 30 km, we reach Agropoli. On a small hill above the present city center is the historical city center with the castle from the Angevin-Aragonese time. A picnic at the Lido of Trentova awaits us in fine weather, only a few kilometers from the city center. It is about an hour from here on small roads through the hilly back country up to Santa Maria di Castellabate. For the next two nights, our host will be the Hotel Villa Sirio, directly on the lakeside promenade of Punta Licosa. 6th day, Friday: Santa Maria Velia Santa Maria, 50 km A one-hour taxi ride takes us to Velia, the Greek Elea. The settlement was founded in the 6th Century BC by Greeks from Phocea and was the home of pre-socratic philosophers, the so-called Eleatics. On a guided tour, we will learn about the remains of 4

5 this ancient Greek trade city and later Roman Municipium (Velia). Then, we will go by ebike via Marina di Casal Velino and Piop- pi first along the coast before a longer climb over Pollica to the picnic area, from where the view sweeps over the width of the hilly landscape of southern Cilento. The afternoon ride will be slightly downhill with almost no traffic on the road, but nevertheless on the hill until Castellabate, located over the coast and the town of Santa Maria. From here few winding roads lead own to the sea and to the hotel Villa Sirio. Dinner in its the stylish restaurant. 7th day, Saturday: Santa Maria Naples After an extensive breakfast on the hotel terrace overlooking the sea, and a short transfer with our accompanying bus, the trip ends at the train station of Agropoli. From there, there are hourly connections (travel time max. 90 minutes) without changing trains to Naples (Napoli Centrale). The cost of a taxi from the main station to the airport amounts to a maximum of 20. Alternatively, there is also an airport bus. 5
