The island is approximately the size of Singapore, is Thailand s largest island. Phuket formerly derived its wealth from tin and rubber, and enjoys a rich and colorful history. Please return the completed Pre/Post Hotel Booking Form directly to Renaissance Phuket Resort & Spa for extra night accommodations, by 31 October 2014 on page 7. Please note that for extra night accommodation and any incidental charges are to be paid by the registrant directly to the hotel prior to departure. Please note that SPE has made the reservation for all Workshop registrants on Deluxe Room (single occupancy). MEALS Only registrants of the workshop will be permitted to dine within the designated area for SPE workshop attendees. Any accompanying guest must inform SPE staffs prior. ACTIVITIES Group activities are not arranged for your afternoon off (Tuesday). The average temperature is around 75ºF to 89ºF (24ºC to 32ºC). CURRENCY The national monetary unit is Thai Baht (THB). Currently, US$1.00 is approximately THB Foreign currency can be exchanged at the airport, local banks and hotels. DRESS CODE Casual/smart clothing is recommended. The Workshop atmosphere is informal. LANGUAGE Thai is the national language in Thailand, but English is also generally spoken, owing to the requirements of the tourism industry.
