The Maple Creek Band, Touchwood- File Hills - Qu'Appelle District has changed its name to the Nekaneet Band effective May 8, 97. The corresponding Indian reserve changed its name from Maple Crsek No. 60A to Nekaneet No. 60A.. The name of the Meadow Lake Band has been changed to the Flying Dust Band in accordance with the wishes of the Band Council as expressed in their Resolution dated September 9, 97,. Research to establish accurate acreages continues and a considerable number of current acreages are subject to change..
