35 ; Notes. Generally, the acreages are to be interpreted as approximate because, in most cases, they are based on old land data which have yet to be verified. Research to establish accurate acreages continues and a considerable number of current acreages are subject to change.. To be consistent, with acreages known to be correct to the nearest onetenth of an acre, all acreages have been recorded to the nearest one-tenth of an acre.. s include all lands in which the particular band has a recorded interest. Land surrendered for sale but never sold, and land surrendered for lease have been included in the acreage figures.. Special Reserves under Section 6 of the Indian Act have been considered as Indian Reserves for purposes of these tables.. Reserves traversed by provincial boundaries have been allocated to the province in which the majority of the reserve acreage is located. 6. The selected Indian reserves and settlements shown in Table III are those reserves and settlements for which the region and the province or territory do not correspond, and those reserves which are traversed by provincial boundaries. 7. The Indian settlements counted in the preceding tables are all Federal Crown Land. Remarques. 8. The symbols - and.. signify nil or zero and data not available, respectively.
