Eger and its Basilica Eger is a city in Hungary. It s in the north-east of the country. The city is famous, because in 1552 Hungarian soldiers defeated the Turkish army. Eger is well known first of all for its castle, a memory of the battle against Turks, then for its thermal baths and has got a lot of historical buildings, such as the Turkish minaret. It is an important agricultural market and has got tobacco and wine industries. Very popular are its red wines. One of its most famous buildings is the Basilica. The cathedral is in Gothic style: outside there are two bell-towers and inside there is a big decorated dome. Giulia-Italy
THE VISIT OF THE CASTLE OF EGER On 19th of April we went to Eger,it s a small town near Felsotarkany. In the morning we went into a cave and we saw a 3D movie about the war. After lunch we visited the various rooms of the castle and we tried the typical clothes wore by the people who lived in the castle. We also visited a museum explaining the war that took place in Hungary against the Turkish army. In the afternoon we played medieval games in the courtyard of the Castle. Linda and Sofia, Italy
Budapest On Saturday, april 23rd, we went to Budapest, the capital city of Hungary. In the morning we went to Buda to see the castle of Matìas. In the afternoon we went to Pest where we saw the Parliament and then we bought some clothes at the Hard Rock cafè. Soon after we went to the airport to return to Italy. Bye bye Hungary! Sofia-Italy
Color Party This is a party in which all the students involved in the European Patchwork showed their school to other groups. It was celebrated in the Community centre of Felsotárkány. The Spanish group illustrated their school in Mazarron and played a traditional Spanish dance. The Italian group showed their schools in Finale Emilia and Massa Finalese and played the Italian hymn with the recorder. The Hungarian group showed the school and other places around the town.then, all together we sang a song Alegrìa. There was some Hungarian food to eat and to drink, there was the Karkadé and apple and lemon juice. We also danced famous Disco songs. The name color party has an important meaning: the diff erent colours represent the shadings of the diff erent cultures of the European Patchwork. Azzurra Zucchelli-Italy
Horse riding in Felsőtárkány The students of the school LA ACEÑA went to Hungary. The fourth day of the travel we went horse riding. It was a great experience. There were three horses and a pony. I rode the pony, but I was too tall for the pony. Then some girls played with me. I made a lot of friends. It was great fun! Noelia-Spain
Bükk National Park We went to the National Park by train directly into the forest. In the forest we walked on a very long road. When we arrived we played a football match : Spain vs Hungary. We lost the first match but we won the second. We liked the forest! After that we went to see a small fish that hides under the rocks in a small river. Ginés-Spain
The Demjén Thermal Spa On Sunday we went to Damjén. At the SPA there were many things like a sauna with TV, chess tables in the water and what we liked most were the water slides. We really enjoyed the area water culture, because of the big contrast with the lack of water in Murcia, that is close to desertification. Hungary is particularly rich in hot springs of unique importance in Europe, most of the waters are rich in dissolved minerals and they are suitable for healthy bathings. Óscar Méndez Munõz-Spain
Hortobágy National Park When we went to the beautiful Hortobágy National Park we saw the acrobatic show of the horses. All the countries together : Spain,Hungary and Italy. The horses were spectacular and when they finished we were amazed. After that we went on carriages pulled by horses. In the Park we saw many interesting animals. Ginés-Spain

Welcome Party On Monday we were welcomed by the students at Ceip la Acena school. Upon entering they started to sing Alegria, a beautiful song because it has refrains in diff erent languages. It was so moving and touching!! Then we went into the library of the school with some Spanish and Hungarian students and teachers. After we ate some typical pastries and sweets, we went to the garden and we played games such as basketball, football and other group games. In the afternoon all the Italian, Spanish and Hungarian students illustrated posters about their countries, typical foods, traditional sports, famous manufacture, history, literature and the most beautiful places to visit. It was a very great beginning for a fantastic adventure, it was an amazing day. Sofia-Italy
Las Gredas de Bolnuevo The Las Gredas De Bolnuevo - also known as Ciudad Encantada (enchanting city)- is Mazarrón's most famous place to visit. It is a Natural Heritage site. They are magical monuments which have been created by the elements for millions of years. Water and wind sculpted the sandstone into forms of mashrooms and other interesting shapes that seem to defy the laws of gravity. The rocks often provide the backdrop for shows and concerts during the local fiestas and many people even have their wedding photographs taken here. Janka Novák and Rozi Balázsy- Hungary
Grimpola On Tuesday we went to Grimpola, a water sports centre in Mazarron where they taught us Sailing, Paddle and Kayak. Before starting the activities we wore life jackets and we learnt to make knots for Sailing. There were two people for kayak with two oars and we went around a small Island in front of the beach.everything was beautiful: the sea, the place, the sport. The second sport that we tried was Paddle. One person for board with one paddle. The third and final sport was Sailing.Four people for boat: the Coach, Alice, Sofia and me. We went not very far from the beach and when we returned I tried to use the rudder for a short distance. Grimpola was a wonderful experience. Caterina-Italy
Cartagena On Wednesday we visited Cartagena, it is an important city of the region of Murcia. It s in the south of Spain, its coasts are on the Mediterranean Sea and we always had a sunny, hot climate. We visited the Roman theatre, the museum of the Phoenician ships, the military port and fortress. I was impressed because the Roman theatre was discovered only around 1997, before that it had been covered with some buildings of different civilizations and when one of them was shot down, they realized there was an important and a very big monument under them. Most of Cartagena s oldest monuments date from the time of the Roman Empire, but now there are also buildings built in the early 20th century. We also visited the ancient Roman castle in the city's highest hill. Here we took a lot of photos and panoramas because the sight was amazing. Lorenzo-Italy
The Phoenician boats There is an important arceological site in Mazarrón Bay where the arceologists discovered two Phoenician boats. In the 10-11th centuries B. C. the Phoenicians established colonies on the east coast of Africa and built several cities. The Phoenician trader ships ran into the ports of Mazzaron to buy fish oil which was produced here. We could see the remains of these ships in the sea and in the ARQUA Museum of Underwater Archeology in Cartagena. These ships sank near Mazarrón, and the salty seawater preserved them for centuries. András Simon Juhász-Hungary
Puerto de Mazarrón Sunday morning a tourist train took us to Puerto de Mazarrón. First we visited an ancient salting factory where Romans produced salted fish and garum which is a kind of fish sauce. We saw the old salting tanks and a lot of interesting fishing tools and other remains from the Roman period. After that we went to a two hour boat trip around the Mazarrón Bay. It was great to observe small fish, jellyfish and corals through a glass surface at the bottom of the ship. The landscape was also beautiful with romantic rocks. The boat passed by the most beautiful beaches of Mazarrón. It was a fantastic day. Virág Somodi and Virág Bóta-Hungary
Flamenco The word flamenco is a collective noun for the folk music and dance spread by the Gypsies living in Spain Andalúzia in the Its most ancient form is the song (cante), to which instrumental accompaniment (toque) and dance (baile) may be attached. It also includes jaleo (vocalizations), palmas (handclapping) and pitos (finger snapping). The flamenco dance is known for its emotional intensity, proud carriage, expressive use of the arms and rhythmic stamping of the feet. The dresses are important visual elements of the flamenco shows and originated also from the Spanish Gypsies. The most common colors for flamenco dresses are red, black and white but they are typically bright colored. Zsombor Kaló-Hungary
Farewell Party On Friday at twelve o' clock the Spanish school Ceip La Acena organised a fantastic farewell party. Students, parents and teachers sat at the table where we ate paella (a typical food of Spain, with rice, fish and chicken). After they off ered cakes, donuts and pastries. Then there was an exhibition on stage, with Italian Renaissance dance, Jota Murciana and the Hungarian dance.there were also Spanish professional dancers, who danced flamenco.they were so great! The Mayor gave the participants a present: a mug, a t- shirt and a pen. We thanked her with a kiss. When it was eight o'clock, we said good bye to Spanish students, and we returned to the hotel with our Hungarian friends. I will miss them so much! Sofia-Italy

Venice Venice is a beautiful and unique city in northeastern Italy and the capital of Veneto. Venice was built in the 5th century after the fall of the Western Roman Empire when the barbarians raided the area. The people escaped to the marshes from the mainland and started to build the city. Venetians wanted to have their buildings on a solid foundation so they used wooden poles and constructed wooden platforms on the top of these poles and built their buildings on these platforms. There aren t roads in Venice there are canals and people travel by vaporettos, boats, or gondolas.the biggest canal is the Grand Canal. When we were in Venice we travelled by gondolas. I found it amazing! The other famous attractions of the city are the St Mark s Square, the Doge s Palace and the St Mark s Basilica. Pálma Bata and János Chikán-Hungary
San Marco's Basilica The building of the original basilica was started in 828 and finished in 832. The exterior of the west facade of the basilica is divided in three registers: lower, upper, and domes. The inner is based on a Greek cross, with each arm divided into three naves with a dome of its own as well as the main dome above the crossing. The upper levels of the interior are completely covered with bright mosaics covering an area of about 8,000 m2. The eastern arm has a raised presbytery with multiple choirs lofts. My own opinion is that it is a beautiful masterpiece Noelia Cabrera Martínez-Spain
Finale Emilia Finale Emilia is a village in North Italy in the commune of the Province of Modena and in the Italian Region of Emilia Romagna. This village is very close to Bologna and Modena. In May 2012 an earthquake destroyed part of the historic town centre, the Tower Clock and the Castello delle Rocche. The Tower broke in half and finally went down. After that, the people of Finale Emilia built an other clock and put it in the square near to the old one. This village is very lucky because the earthquake was very powerful and it destroyed a lot of monuments of Finale, but it resisted the earthquake and now they are rebuilding the monuments that were destroyed. But the best of Finale Emilia is its people They are wonderful. Samuel Martínez Navarro-Spain
RULLI FRULLI The band is composed by 20 boys and 20 girls. They play instruments made with recycled objects. IT WAS AMAZING! WE MADE SO MUCH NOISE! When we finished we painted a barrel that was a drum. We used lots of paint! One painted a flag of Italy, another a flag of Spain and another one a flag of Hungary and we made some instruments with recycled materials. IT WAS MARVELLOUS SHARING THAT MOMENT WITH OUR ITALIAN AND HUNGARIAN MATES THE BAND IS INCREDIBLE! Alejandro Durán-Spain
Lamborghini Museum The story of the Lamborghini luxury car began with the competition between two Italian men Ferruccio Lamborghini and Enzo Ferrari. The Lambo's logo is a bull, called "Murciélago", which was a very aggressive and strong animal. The frontal part of the car evokes the imagine of a bull. The gull wings doors look like the bull's horns. A lot of Lambo cars were named after famous Spanish bulls, like Miura, the Gallardo and the Murciélago, Aventador. Today Lamborghini cars are under the ownership of Audi AG, which bought the Lamborghini car company in Zsolt Szilágyi-Hungary
Italian Pasta Italy is the home of pasta. More than a thousand kinds of pasta are manufactured here. Italians serve pasta as appetizer. The most familiar types are spaghetti, macaroni, lasagne, tortellini and of course pizza. When you cook pasta, it should be al dente. It means to the tooth meaning that the pasta should be neither too hard nor too soft. After cooking, pasta is mixed with butter and olive oil. It is eaten with a special sauce called ragu or sugo in Italian. These sauces are made with vegetables, fish, mushroom, meat, shell or crayfish. Cheese is usually spread on the top of the dish. I think Italian pasta is very delicious. Kristóf Antal-Hungary
The balsamic vinegar museum Modena is a beautiful city in Italy. In the surrounding settlements there are a lot of museums and factories. We visited the balsamic vinegar museum. In the museum we could see a lot of wood barrels filled with balsamic vinegar. We watched a short film about how they produce balsamic vinegar. Grapes are harvested, crushed and pushed through sieves, boiled for 24 hours then they are matured for years.in the museum we could taste the balsamic vinegar. It has got an unusual taste. The older ones are thicker, frutier in taste and more valuable. It was a very good day, when we visited the museum. Gergő Somogyi-Hungary
Farewell Party When I was in Italy, our Italian friends made a beautiful party to say goodbye. This amazing party consisted in: Italian, Spanish and Hungarian performances. The Italian students prepared a funny magic show, nice songs and a play. The Spanish students sang beautiful songs and danced. It was like a cross cultural melting point, we enjoyed so much doing it. The Hungarian show consisted in diff erent folk dances and very good songs!! Finally, we sang all together the beautiful song and Hymn of the project, Alegria. But also our friendly Italian friends gave us a present. After the amazing show we had a yummy dinner that was delicious and special! Sara Madrid Ortiz-SPAIN
