1 Department of River and Coastal Engineering from the TUHH together with the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Belgrade and Montenegro is inviting You for the DAAD Summer School Course 2005 Flood Risk Management and Application of Hydrological Models with Possibilities of Integration into E learning Platform Herceg Novi, Montenegro, Organisation 1.1 Time: The Summer School (SS05) is scheduled for the following dates: 03.09(Sat) (Sun). The duration of the course is 5 working days. Two days are reserved for the excursion and free activities. 1.2 Venue: The Summer School take place in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. (see Figure 1) Figure 1
2 You will stay at the Hotel Plaza in Herceg Novi (the seminar rooms are also in the same hotel). You will be provided with twin rooms. We are provided with two seminar rooms, i.e. for both planned courses of the summer school. 1.3 Group of Participants This year, there is a great number of participants, both teaching staff and students. 3 University of Montenegro Teaching Staff (2) Dr. Goran Sekulic Ivana Nikolic Students (max 2): are still to be selected. During the course, we shall have also some guests such as Prof. Corovic, Prof. Zivaljevic fron the University of Montenegro or Mr Marinko Popovic from Belgrade. 1.4 Departure /Arrival You need a valid pass (not an identity card) for the trip to Serbia and Montenegro! Check if you need visa for Serbia&Montenegro. (EU citizens do not need it). Please, arrange the health insurance with your company. Departure: TUHH Group: The group of 6 Teaching Staff members (except Manojlovic) and all 10 Students are flying with Montenegro Airlines on 03 th, September. The flight is from Frankfurt (GER) to Tivat (S&M) departing 16:35 and arriving at 18:35. The train is leaving at 8:39 from the HARBURG railway station. The meeting point is the main entrance of the Harburg railway station at 8:15. Please, be there on time as we have a group ticket!!! Mrs Manojlovic is flying to Belgrade a day before, due to the coordination issues. She is flying to Tivat with the Belgrade group. Transfer from Tivat to the hotel is by bus from the airport. The estimated duration is 1,5 hours. Belgrde and Montenegro groups are organising the trip on their own. Arrival: TUHH group: HH group is leaving on 11 th, September, flying from Podgorica to Frankfurt. The plain leaves at 11:40 and arrives at the Frankfurt airport at 13:30. Arrival in HH is planned for 23:02, travelling from FRA to HH by train.

DEPARTURE 11:40 ARRIVAL 13:30 FRA HAM 11. Sept. DEPARTURE 16:58 ARRIVAL 23:02 2. Program 2.1 Courses For the Summer School 2005, two paralel courses are planned. 1. Flood Risk Management (FRM) 2. Rainfall-Runoff model (RRM) As agreed, the following students will take part in the FRM course: Pajak, Joanna Villagra, Karolina Krasicka, Karolina Kaneva, Irena Fang, Lu And the following ones in the RRM course: Linck, Christopher Kielholz, Henning Falke, Eva Ismic, Armin Holzwarth, Stefan The courses last 5 days, Course language is English. Both courses are composed of both, theoretical part and practical exercises. The students are supposed to build working groups of two and solve the problems in groups. Detailed report about the work performed and achievements during the SummerSchool is to be submitted. Deadline is still to be set. Both courses start with a plenary session and end with the students final presentations. Diploma student from the TUHH are excepted to perform some additional work in duration of ONE MORE WEEK after the SummerSchool if they want to get a certificate (Schein) and the credit hours (3).
5 The course will be held in a conference room of the "Plaza hotel. The last days are reserved for free activities.
