The story of NIT is a story of determined entrepreneurship. Two young boys, Kenneth Luoma and Jari Suominen, used to stare at the ships hulls as they grew bigger and bigger in their local shipyard.

11 The story of NIT is a story of determined entrepreneurship. Two young boys, Kenneth Luoma and Jari Suominen, used to stare at the ships hulls as they grew bigger and bigger in their local shipyard. The boys grew up, and in the year 2000 established a company, Naval Interior Team Ltd. Luoma (left) and Suominen (right) defined a straightforward yet challenging business idea for their newborn enterprise: find the best people, treat them well, and do everything possible to shape the interiors of great ships and enhance the success of their customers. Since 2000, NIT has received orders from almost all shipyards that build cruise ships around the world. Managing Director Jari Suominen says that sales will exceed 30 million euros in Suominen promises that NIT will continue to serve all their customers with the same dedication and honesty. This will mean continuing to realise innovations at the same time as effectively demonstrating their great respect for deadlines. Challenges will come up, but they will be shared and addressed as promptly as possible, instead of waiting until there is no other option. Constructive co-operation towards a common goal is the best way forward for all parties. So this is our story which all of us within the company have written together with our customers, concludes Jari Suominen.
