2 Stock and custom-made entrance gratings Weland manufactures entrance gratings for all imaginable entrances, from large entrances at shopping centres to doors in small properties. Entrance gratings are made in three different versions: Pressure welded entrance gratings, type A entrance gratings and type AR1 entrance gratings. Entrance Gratings, Pressure Welded Pressure welded entrance gratings consist of round bars that are joined to bearing bars at high pressure and using high amperage. Page 4-5 Entrance Grating Type A The type A entrance grating is the classic grating constructed from flat bars running in both directions. Page 6-7 Entrance Grating Type AR1 Type AR1 entrance gratings are constructed from flat bars running in both directions and are provided with round bars to give a closemeshed pattern. 4 Entrance Gratings, Pressure Welded Pressure welded entrance gratings have the same design as normal pressure welded gratings. The difference is that entrance gratings have a closer mesh width. 5 Stainless Steel Entrance Gratings Some mesh widths and bearing bar heights can also be manufactured in stainless steel. Extra anti-slip protection In winter, some grates can become slippery through damp and ice. This is especially true for entrance gratings in exposed positions. Weland has developed anti-slip protection in pressed stainless steel that can be pressed into place on the grate without any tools. The upper side has holes with upward pressed edges, providing very good anti-slip protection. The anti-slip protection is suitable for Weland s entrance gratings with mm bar heights (0)

7 Entrance Grating Type A The type A entrance grating is constructed from flat bars running in both directions. The mesh widths are as standard c/c 22 x 22 and 33 x 11 mm. Type A entrance gratings in selected sizes are kept in stock. In addition to the entrance gratings in stock, Weland can manufacture type A entrance gratings according to your needs and wishes. As standard, type A entrance gratings are hot dip galvanised, but can also be manufactured in stainless steel. 8 Entrance Grating Type AR1 Cantilevered entrance grating in hot dip galvanised steel. Suitable for all entrances where you want an almost self-serviced dirt collection function in a deeper recess. The entrance grating is constructed from 3 mm flat bars running in both directions and provided with 4 mm diameter round bars to give a close-meshed pattern. AR1 gratings are available in three different versions; standard with just round bars, with scraper strip in pressed steel or with corrugated rubber anti-slip protection. 11 Entrance Mats, Kåbe Original A well-designed entrance has entrance gratings on the outside and a good entrance mat on the inside. Almost nobody stops to wipe their feet at a public entrance. With its aggressive rubber curves, a Kåbe Original Mat acts like a windscreen wiper when you walk on the mat, with the wiping motions being made by your feet. The rubber curves efficiently wipe away dirt, gravel, dust and moisture from shoes. The first step towards a better indoor environment is to stop the dirt at the entrance.
