The program supports strengthening individuals, families, and community resilience through connection to traditions and culture. Provides an outpatient alcoholism and drug program with first priority to residents of Acoma, but also serves the surrounding areas. 6 Fax: (505) The Food Distribution Program is a federally funded program through USDA that provides commodity foods to low income American Indians and non-indian households residing on a reservation and to households living in approved areas near a reservation that contains at least one person who is a member of a federally recognized tribe. The areas served by the Acoma Food Distribution Program include Acoma and Laguna reservations, and/or nearby towns of Grants, Milan, San Rafael, San Fidel, Cubero, and Seboyeta. Eligible households are certified based upon income and resource standards set by the federal government. Each month, participating households receive a food package to help them maintain a nutritionally balanced diet. 7 Haak u Learning Center 15 Turtle Shell Rd. Pueblo of Acoma, NM Phone: Fax: In partnership with parents and the community, the Haak'u Learning Center provides a comprehensive early childhood program that offers developmentally appropriate services for children ages 0-5 with or without disabilities and their families. The Haak u Learning Center Child Care Program is designed in part to provide monetary help to low-income families who are in need of Quality Child Care Services. The Program provides childcare services for the families of our community. The program has a Center Base infant and toddler room which provides services for sixteen (16) children. The ages range from 6 weeks to 3 years old. The program also has In-Home Child Care service which is for parents who may prefer a relative to sign-up as an in-home provider in order to watch their children. The Head Start Program provides developmentally appropriate services for children ages 3 to 5 and their families. The program also provides services to children ages 2½to 3 who have an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP). Must meet eligibility requirements. Acoma Health and Wellness Department P.O.
