The eviromet Coal, oil ad gas are fossil fuels that have evolved from the decompositio of atural mierals over millios of years. 4 Choosig the right stove... If you are buyig a stove for the first time, we offer the followig advice to help you purchase the right stove for your eeds. The most importat cosideratio whe choosig a stove is the required output to heat the room i which it will be istalled. heat output of up to 7kW would be recommeded. Please remember that this is a guide oly for a average room. The umber of doors ad widows i the room ad other factors such as stairs leadig off the room may icrease the output required. Similarly a well isulated house may reduce the requiremets. Please refer to your local supplier for further advice as every room is differet. As a rough guide, measure the room ad multiply width x depth x height (i metres), ad divide this by 14. This will provide the average heatig requiremets for the room i kilowatts. This formula is assumig that the required room temperature is 20 c with a outside temperature of 0 c. For example, a room measurig 4.9m x 4.9m x 2.4m, multiply 4.9 x 4.9 x 2.4 the divide by 14 which makes 4.1. The heat output required is 4.1kW; therefore a Ecobur Plus 5 with a heat output of 1-5kW would provide sufficiet heatig for this room.
