The components, raw materials and construction are equally important and create the foundation for the finished product s quality and durability. coil spring swivel rocker mechanism sling chair assembly aluminum internal side rails our outdoor furniture components Homecrest components, like our domestic custom aluminum extrusions, floor glides, internal side rails and swivel rocker mechanisms are all integral components of the Homecrest product line. custom frame materials Homecrest uses custom-designed, domestic aluminum extrusions, manufactured to our specifications. Internal wall reinforcements provide additional strength and durability. floor glides All floor glides protect the frame and reduce any scratching of the finish when moving the piece across a surface. Floor glides are tested to 50,000 abrasion strokes. Floor glides are field-replaceable. internal side rails Homecrest uses custom contoured internal side rails and double layer slings to provide a sturdy and comfortable seat. The Designed for Weight collections utilize steel side rails, enhancing the weight of the unit. cross bars Cross bars provide the perfect tension to support the comfort and durability of the sling basket. A baked-on polyester powder-coat finish, is applied and provides a durable finish for many seasons. Our paint finish is backed by a five-year warranty. strap application elements frames sling chair assembly multi-stage prep & paint process: Homecrest takes the necessary steps to properly prepare material for paint application. The multiple, pre-paint steps listed below are important for the proper adhesion of all powder-coat frame finishes. Stage 1: Pre-Wash Removes large contaminants. Stage 2: Detergent Wash Completes wash. Stage 3: Pre-Rinse Rinses off carry-over detergents. Stage 4: Rinse Final rinse prior to chemical application. Stage 5: Chemical Etch Seals and creates paintable surface. Stage 6: Rinse Rinse off carry-over chemical. Stage 7: Paint Application Electrostatic equipment is used to consistently coat all areas of the frame. Stage 8: Paint Cure Powder-coat cures at an oven temp of 420 degrees for 22 minutes. 11

The premiere DreamCore seat cushion features High Resilient furniture-grade foam. High Resilient foam provides exceptional durability and longevity, while offering an outstanding level of comfort. Unlike conventional foams (Viscoelastic/memory foam), the cell structure of High Resilient foam is less uniform and more random, creating a stronger structure, excellent elasticity and increased supporting force. Providing support, resilience and ultimately, unparalleled comfort. back cushion The back cushion is constructed with moisture-resistant ticking and is engineered to match the silhouette of the cushion, creating a tailored look. Our tailored and removable cushions feature a simple turned seam and a slip cover back. cushion construction The cushion is constructed of four layers of polyester fiber fill that allows moisture to pass through it. Homecrest s quality-crafted cushions are fast-drying and durable. seamless design The Homecrest cushion features a simple turned seam and wraps the selected fabric around the sides of the cushion to meet the same fabric selected on the back of the cushion. With this innovative cushion technology, a welt is not required. virgin vinyl straps The seat deck is constructed of 100% virgin vinyl strapping for enhanced comfort. Virgin vinyl straps do not contain clay fillers, which reduce strap memory. They are inserted into a slotted frame and are double wrapped. slip cover back The cushion is tailored with a matching slip cover, eliminating exposed straps on the back frame. The cushion is held in place to the slip cover with industrial grade Velcro and with a pocket flap on the front of the seat to conceal the frame. 13

Outdoor double layer slings are protected with an industry-leading five-year residential warranty. sling construction The Homecrest double layer sling uses internal support rails to shape and stretch the sling. This allows for the sling to ergonomically conform to the body and eliminates a rigid surface. Homecrest's double layer sling creates an individual comfort experience. serging After the first sew line is in place, slings go through a five-thread serging process that doubles the strength of the seam. welting Sling construction is finished with a sewn-on welt. Welting is attached with a third sew line to combine the multiple layers of fabric. Welting color will default to the frame finish color unless an alternate welt color is selected. sling testing Homecrest slings are static-load tested to ensure durability of seam strength, by dropping a 125 lb weight on a sling chair for 50,000 cycles. padded sling furniture Featured on all Homecrest padded sling collections. The perimeter stitch line silhouettes the outline of the seat and back of the basket allowing for quicker drying time. padded sling construction Padded slings utilize a single layer of polyester fiber fill, sewn between the surface material and an inner layer of material. silhouette stitching Top stitching of the silhouette detail is done before adding the back fabric. The silhouette stitch allows for quicker drying time. backing fabric selection Padded slings provide the opportunity to use all Sunbrella, Outdura and Ultraleather acrylic/polyurethane fabrics. If a fabric has been selected from one of those swatch books, a slingable fabric must be selected for the back of the padded sling; this provides the durability of a sling when combined with the top layer fabric. welting Padded sling construction is finished with a sewn-on welt. Sensation fabrics provide the comfort, stretch and recovery that a traditional cushion offers. vented inner lining A vented inner lining allows moisture to pass straight through the seat surface and prevents sunlight from exposing the internal structure. No-Fill Material replaceable & fully upholstered look The upholstery of the unit is completed by lacing the side panels to the frame and utilizes a Velcro closure to finish out the bottom. This technique is what gives the Air collections a fully upholstered look. A stretched basket replacement is available if an updated look is desired or as a replacement after years of use. modular system Multiple configuration options can be achieved using the right arm, left arm, armless, swivel, stationary and corner units. Solid-Steel Cross Bar Solid-Steel Plate aluminum arms & base Custom aluminum extrusions are used for the arms and base to create a low-maintenance, less corrosive material for those high-wear components. steel internal side rails To enhance the weight, the "Designed for Weight" collections utilize powder-coated, solid-steel internal side rails. steel cross bars The cross bar, located on the back and seat of a "Designed for Weight" chair, is powder-coated and made of solid-steel creating additional weight and long-term durability. steel plate The "Designed for Weight" swivel rockers feature a 2 ¾ x 3/8 solid-steel plate for added weight. These chairs utilize four different replacement slings. Here is a quick way to identify replacements needed for these four types of chairs. In the event a replacement is required, Homecrest will replace the double layer sling or padded sling with the same, or comparable, fabric based on manufacturer's discretion (installation labor not included).
