1 Chamber Chronicle January 2018 The Hobbs Chamber of Commerce concluded 2017 with an exciting and successful Hobbs Holiday Tournament. The tournament was near capacity each night and with the addition of the girls teams, the tournament had record sales, an overall success is off to an exciting start at the Hobbs Chamber of Commerce. We held our first of many Quarterly Membership Luncheons at the Hobbs Country Club. James Torrez with Demented Customs gave an inspiring speech leading us through his journey to success. Our next Quarterly Membership Luncheon will be on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Hobbs Country Club. The Hobbs Chamber of Commerce is honored to welcome Kassis Enterprises LLC, Armando Ornelas State Farm and Alberthia s Flowers to our membership. For a complete listing of new members, flip to page nine (9). We have many upcoming events scheduled for the remainder of January and for the month of February. This Friday, the nineteenth (19) of January we have our monthly Membership Mix & Mingle at the Lea County Center for the Arts. If you attended the Mix & Mingle in December, you know this is not an event to miss out on. We also look forward to the Ribbon Cutting and Open House for The Law Office of Ross Bettis. The open house for Mr. Bettis will take place on January twenty-fourth (24) at 11:30 in the morning. The Hobbs Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for one of our most coveted events of the year, febrewary fest! This years fest will take place on February seventeenth (17) at the Lea County Events Center. If you have not attended our annual event, you do not want to miss out. The Hobbs Chamber of Commerce brings in wineries and breweries from across the state, accompanied by live music, vendors and food trucks. This is the event to gather a group of friends and plan to have a great time. For a full listing of the Hobbs Chamber of Commerce upcoming events, turn to page two (2). We want to wish all of our members a Happy New Year! If you have not been involved in years past, this is the year to make the most of your membership. We look forward to seeing you at one of our functions soon!
