Newsletter Editor Notes Linda Yelich Hello again time flies seems like I just did this have had a bit of a busy month and it flew by. I think a lot of you have either flown the coop are about to or have parked your bikes. Season seems to be about done. We had our Halloween meeting with 23 in attendance and 11 of those were in dress. We had Caesar and Cleopatra, a Construction worker escorting a scary Ghost, Mr. USA and his Renaissance Lady, a Cowboy, a Witch, a Dickhead and a Spider and a Gold Winger. All were great and I thank you all for the effort. Cleopatra and Mr. USA were the prize winners for best costumes voted on by the the non costumed members. A small bag of treats for each winner were the calorie free prizes! Wayne and Linda could not attend the meeting so Irene and Don Hecht aptly chaired for us. A few items of discussions were handled. We have our allotment of calendar picture donors for the following year, so thank you everyone. Fred wants to put it together with the ride schedule starting in January/February for dispersal in March. Anyone with ride destination wishes or ideas should e mail him as soon as possible: fred_g55@hotmail.com Our Christmas party is December 2 nd at the Innisfail Legion with cocktails at 5:30 and dinner served at 6:00 PM. The meal is $20.00 to be paid prior to the evening. Confirmation to Rob Christensen for dinner needs to be done by November 15 th so that the info can be passed on to the Legion two weeks ahead. Please e mail rob.christensen@shaw.ca or phone as soon as possible. Thank you. The time change breakfast is at Red Lodge Guest Ranch November 5 th at 9:30 AM breakfast is available at 10:00 we think but coffee will be ready earlier. We are phoning them to let them know we are all coming! There is no meeting at the end of November - so guys you can go Christmas shopping instead! We will be needing your bike mileage for the year when you are all said and done please e mail Wayne with your numbers. wrenfert@explornet.ca Note from George Rider Education: We plan to schedule a First Aid/CPA refresher course sometime in February or early March. This will be a one day course for anybody whose certificate is about to expire. Please advise me if you wish to update. E mail grehman@shaw.ca

Glenn s Million Miles of Memories Continued.. The first out of Province ride in 2008 was in May on my 1984 Gold Wing GL1200. The route was to Drumheller then to Highway 570 to Saskatchewan and onto 44 to Eston. I visited Bob Stevenson there. When we were young farm boys working the winter of in Calgary at a plumbing company we rented basement rooms in the same house. He farmed with his family and played baseball with his brother. They are now listed in the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame! From Eston I visited friends in Kindersley. It was a Victoria Day week-end trip going from Kindersley to Hanna and back home. The big trip of the year was to Dealer meetings in Toronto and London, Ontario on the 2006 triked Gold Wing. The route was all Canadian to Sault Ste. Marie then south to Hesperia, Michigan to visit some Turple s there. From Hesperia it was to enter Ontario at Sarnia and on to Toronto to visit cousins and attend the Plus-A Honda meeting. From there I did some visiting with friends and relatives at Oakville, Welland, Niagara-On-The-Lake and St. Catherines etc. before heading to London for a Suzuki meeting. Leaving Ontario at Sarnia the route skirted around Chicago, then heading Northwest to Minot, North Dakota and onto Estevan, Saskatchewan. I stopped at Rouleau (better known as Dog River on corner Gas) to visit relatives before heading home the next day. Mileage in 2008 was 34,348 kilometers. 10 Reasons Why I Never Wash 1. I was made to wash as a child. 2. People who wash are hypocrites they reckon they re cleaner than other people. 3. There are so many different kinds of soap I could never decide which one was right. 4. I used to wash, but it got boring so I stopped. 5. I still wash on special occasions, like Christmas and Easter. 6. None of my friends wash. 7. I m still young. When I m older and am a bit dirtier, I might start washing. 8. I really don t have time. 9. The bathroom is never warm enough. 10. People who make soap are only after your money. Thanks Glenn

Hello everyone, Here we are less than two months before the end of 2017 and the end of Region J, as we look forward to the future with GWRRA as we should know soon what head office has decided for Region J with the transition to Districts. We have been busy since Wing Ding with myself and Ron Myers becoming certified as ARC Trike Instructors after teaching a class in Red Deer. This along with our daughter s wedding in Regina and the birth of our third grandson in Toronto has kept us hopping. The end of October was also the fiscal year end for 2017 and financial reports were to be sent in to our Region J Treasurer along with the charter fees. Once again we say so long to the Snowbirds who would rather winter in the warmer climates in Arizona than braving another Canadian winter. We had some changes in Chapter Directors as Dave Ward & Giselle Collins became the new CD for BC-A Vancouver and Des Rees the new CD for AB-B Edmonton. We would like to thank Keiller & Tracy Gowan and Mike & Tiffany Coles along with Larry Moore for their terms as Chapter Directors. We would also like to welcome Roger Matas as the new Region J Trainer, and come January he will be the District University Coordinator. Thank you to Pat Williams for her term as Region J Trainer and wish her the best in the future. Something to look forward to May 25 27, 2018 is the Zermatt Rally in Midway, UT at the Zermatt Resort. This had started out as a Region F event however has turned out to be a Multi- District event that should bring members from Districts surrounding Zermatt including those here in the former Region J. This will not be your regular rally as it will be more of a destination rally with a chance to participate in the activities that the resort offers. Until next month, Gary and Susan Premech Region J Directors

The banker saw his old friend Tom, an eighty-year old rancher, in town. Tom had lost his wife a year or so before and rumor had it that he was marrying a 'mail order' bride. Being a good friend, the banker asked Tom if the rumor was true. Tom assured him that it was. The banker then asked Tom the age of his new bride to be. Tom proudly said, 'She'll be twenty-one in November.' Now the banker, being the wise man that he was, could see that the sexual appetite of a young woman could not be satisfied by an eighty-year-old man. Wanting his old friend's remaining years to be happy, the banker tactfully suggested that Tom should consider getting a hired hand to help him out on the ranch, knowing that nature would take its own course. Tom thought this was a good idea and said he would look for one that afternoon. About four months later, the banker ran into Tom in town again. 'How's the new wife?', asked the banker. Tom replied with pride, 'She's fine and she's pregnant.' The banker, happy that his sage advice had worked out, continued, 'And how's the hired hand?' Without hesitating, Tom said, 'She's pregnant too.' Don't ever underestimate Saskatchewan old guys. A doctor that had been seeing an 80-year-old woman for most of her life finally retired. At her next check-up, the new doctor told her to bring a list of all the medicines that had been prescribed for her. As the doctor was looking through these his eyes grew wide as he realized Grandma had a prescription for birth control pills. "Mrs. Smith, do you realize these are birth control pills?" "Yes, they help me sleep at night." "Mrs. Smith, I assure you there is absolutely nothing in these that could possibly help you sleep!" She reached out and patted the young doctors knee and said, "Yes, dear, I know that. But every morning, I grind one up and mix it in the glass of orange juice that my 16-yearold Granddaughter drinks. And believe me it definitely helps me sleep at night." You gotta love Grandmas! A man was riding on a full bus minding his own business when the gorgeous woman next to him started to breast-feed her baby. The baby wouldn t take it so she said, "Come on sweetie, eat it all up or I ll have to give it to this nice man next to us." Five minutes later the baby was still not feeding, so she said, "Come on, honey. Take it or I ll give it to this nice man here." A few minutes later the anxious man blurted out, "Come on kid. Make up your mind! I was supposed to get off four stops ago!"

Students in an advanced Biology class were taking their mid-term exam. The last question was, Name seven advantages of Mothers Milk. The question was worth 70 points or none at all. One student was hard put to think of seven advantages. He wrote: 1) It is perfect formula for the child. 2) It provides immunity against several diseases. 3) It is always the right temperature. 4) It is inexpensive. 5) It bonds the child to mother and vice versa. 6) It is always available as needed. And then the student was stuck. Finally, in desperation, just before the bell rang indicating the end of the test he wrote: 7) It comes in two attractive containers and its high enough off the ground where the cat can t get it. He got an A. An old Italian man in Brooklyn is dying. He calls his grandson to his bedside. "Guido, I wan you lissina me. I wan you to take-a my chrome plated 38 revolver so you will always remember me." "But grandpa, I really don t like guns. How about you leave me your Rolex watch instead?" "You lissina me, boy! Somma day you gonna be runna da business, you gonna have a beautiful wife, lotsa money, a big-a home and maybe a couple of bambinos. Then one-a day you gonna comea home and maybe finda you wife inna bed with another man. Whatta you gonna do then? Pointa to you watch and say, Times up! "

A woman and her 12-year-old son were riding in a taxi in Detroit. It was raining and all the prostitutes were standing under awnings. "Mom," said the boy, "what are all those women doing?" "They re waiting for their husbands to get off work," she replied. The taxi driver turns around and says, "Geez lady, why don t you tell him the truth? They re hookers, boy! They have sex with men for money." The little boys eyes get wide and he says, "Is that true Mom?" His mother, glaring hard at the driver, answers "Yes." After a few minutes the kid asks, "Mom, if those women have babies, what happens to them?" She said, "Most of them become taxi drivers." An elderly, but hardy cattleman from Texas once told a young female neighbor that if she wanted to live a long life, the secret was to sprinkle a pinch of gunpowder on her oatmeal each morning. She did this religiously and lived to the age of 103. She left behind 14 children, 30 grandchildren, 21 greatgrandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and a 40 foot hole where the crematorium used to be.
