1 Workshop on TALYS/TENDL Developments Nuclear Physics Institute of the CAS, Řež Center of Accelerators and Nuclear Analytical Methods (CANAM) Workshop on TALYS/TENDL developments November 2017, Prague 2 nd Announcement As you have been informed, the Workshop on TALYS/TENDL developments will take place in Prague, November The scientific program will include invited talks and selected oral presentations covering the following topics: TENDL differential validation with EXFOR data, Filling experimental data gaps, e.g. medium energy range (10 50 MeV), Integral validation with transport and activation data, Neutron induced reactions, Photon, proton, alpha induced reactions, New plans for TALYS/TENDL, Comparison with other world data libraries like ENDF/B, JEFF etc., Particular fusion relevant comparison with TENDL vs. FENDL, New experimental campaigns and facilities.

2 Practical information: Workshop Venue Workshop on TALYS/TENDL developments will take place at the Czech Academy of Sciences residence Villa Lanna in Prague, which will be used as the actual Workshop location and for accommodation. Accommodation: The organizers can make an accommodation reservation at Vila Lanna or can help you in looking for the hotel reservation around. Vila Lanna is a neo renaissance building from 1913, protected by the Government Heritage Fund, located in a private garden. Since 1957, it belongs to the Czech Academy of Sciences. It serves as a unique accommodation facility for guests of the Academy and to host smallsize meetings, for more information please see lanna.cz/index.html. Vila Lanna, V Sadech 1, Prague 6 (GPS: N, E) Lanna reception desk is open 24 hours a day. At the Lanna reception desk you can pay an accommodation cost by cash (CZK) or credit card (Visa, Master), one night in single room costs 1300 CZK /~50 EUR, double room 2000 CZK/~75 EUR. Optional possibility is to pay Lanna accommodation price with an academic discount within the conference fee (see Conference fee). Lunches There are a number of restaurants located in the vicinity of the residence Villa Lana within 5 10 min walk (the list and location map will be at disposal). They offer the international and typical national menu with acceptable prices. Optional possibility is to take a business lunch in the residence Lanna and to pay for it within the conference fee (see Conference fee). Deadlines Workshop registration: August 15 Abstract submission: August 15 Speaker notification: September 15 Workshop fee payment: September 15 3rd Announcement: October 1 Abstract The book of abstracts will be distributed to the participants at the registration desk. There will be no proceedings book. However, the oral presentations will be posted on the workshop website if permitted by the contributor.

3 Oral presentation Speakers, please provide us with the slides as early as possible, but at least the evening before your presentation. We also recommend back up slides on a USB stick. Address: Na Poříčí 24 26, Praha 1 Please, fill your name to the recipient comment (note) if you are not owner of an account. You can also pay fee before starting the workshop in cash but only in CZK. The basic fee 80 EUR includes the participation to the conference, conference materials and conference dinner. The optional fee for Vila Lanna accommodation, breakfast included: 38 EUR (1/1 per night) or 58 EUR (2/2 per night). The optional fee for a business lunch in the Vila Lanna: 14 EUR/ per lunch. Travel information: From the airport to Vila Lanna we suggest to take bus no. 119 and to get off at Nádraži Veleslavin (last stop), then take metro from there to the station Hradčanská. From Hradčanska it is 500m to Vila Lanna. You will need 32 CZK ticket available at kiosk of Prague transport in the arrival hall or at machine at the bus stop. If you travel by train, you can arrive to Main station or station Holešovice. Both stations are on the red metro line (C), we suggest to go to Muzeum metro station and to change to the green line (A) and to get off at Hradčanska. From Hradčanska it is about 500m walk to Vila Lanna. You will need 26 CZK ticket. The ticket must be marked before entering the metro or after boarding the bus / tram. There are some ticket machines on each stop, but you need coins. 4 Taxi For taxi you can use the official airport taxi there are many at arrivals the price for Lanna would be around 450 CZK and you can pay by a credit card so in fact you do not need cash, see transport/transport/official taxi/ To get Czech crowns we suggest to use ATM machines, there are many in the arrival hall. Program There will be a mixture of invited talks and standard presentations (20 min + 10 discussions). Information about the presentations is required.
