2 The institute is located within the campus of academic institutions at the city district called Ládví. It is easily reachable from the city center by Metro line C (terminate at the Ládví station). Accomodation in the vicinity of the institute There is limited number of accommodation possibilities nearby the institute. 3 Accomodation in the city center There are many options to stay in the Prague s city center. Please, make your own selection, just keep in mind, that if you stay near the Metro line C, it will make your commuting to the institution simpler. Prague City Transport For useful information about Prague (not only transport), please visit: The Czech Koruna (1EUR = 26.0 CZK) is used as a currency in Czech Republic. Euro is usually accepted by hotels and big shops, but not always and with less favorable exchange rate. Ask in advance. Travelling by city transport is possible only with a valid ticket. Passengers have to purchase their tickets before boarding the vehicle or entering the Metro system. The ticket is valid only if marked in the validation machine. Tickets can be bought at selected Metro stations or in information centers, hotels, at new stands, travel agencies, department stores, etc. Single tickets can also be bought in the ticket vending machines (only coins are accepted) located at Metro stations or near some stops of surface transport.

4 When arriving by plane, you will find Public transport information centers (selling tickets) in arrival halls of both terminals. They can be bought in the Information Centres of the Prague Public Transport Company. Freight luggage 16 CZK Ticket Inspection The validity of tickets can be checked by the ticket inspectors of Dopravní podnik at any time during travel or stay in the Metro system. The ticket inspector is entitled to ask the passenger to produce his or her valid ticket, to confiscate invalid tickets, and to collect a penalty (1000 CZK, if paid at once 800 CZK) in case of travel without a valid ticket. In case of unpaid freight the inspector collects a penalty 200 CZK, which is reduced to 100 CZK, if it is paid on the spot or in the supplementary fare office of Dopravni podnik. To prove their identity, inspectors produce yellow-and-red badges. They issue receipts for the penalty amounts. The transportation from the airport to the institute: Possibility 1:

5 Buy a single ticket for 32 CZK, if you have a big luggage (bigger than 25x45x70 cm) also 16 CZK for it. After getting to the bus, validate it in the yellow box. It will be valid for the whole journey, which will take you approx. 70 min. Take the bus line 119 from Prague Airport to Nádraží-Veleslavín Metro Station 17 min. Then take the Metro line A to Muzeum Station 10 min. Exchange for Metro line C to Ládví station 13 min. Or Take the bus line 100 from Prague Airport to Zličín Metro Station 18 min. Then take the Metro line B to Florenc Station 25 min. Exchange for Metro line C to Ladvi 9 min. Possibility 2: By taxi. Prague is infamous for overpriced taxi services for foreigners. But if you order the taxi in advance, you will get better prices and minimize the chance to be treated unfair. Below are links for taxi services in Prague.
