Don t forget, we now have paddle boards; they are a great way to explore the lake or check out a canoe or kayak. The possibilities are endless and there is something for every member of the family! 2 MAY MEALS TO GO : You won t want to miss out on one of the best kept secrets here at The Camp, meals to go! Sit back and relax over the weekend while Connie does the cooking. Every meal includes a main dish, salad with dressing, bread and a sweet treat for dessert. All you will need to bring is your appetite! Meals will be ready for pickup after 5 p.m. on Friday or any time on Saturday. Meals must be orderd by the Wednesday before by calling or by ing activities@camplakejames.com. Also, you can request a PDF guide to the achievement program by ing activities@camplakejames.com CAMP RULES REMINDER As we look forward to a busy summer season at The Camp, here are a few friendly reminders about the rules at Camp Lake James. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. We will be glad to speak to you about it. DOGS - Must be kept on a physical leash while on The Camp property, which includes the Amphitheater and Expedition Center. POOL & HOT TUB - Please no running or horseplay around the pools. Children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult at all times. 15-MINUTE PARKING AREA - The Social Hall loading zone is for loading and unloading only, when staying for longer than 15 minutes, please use the main parking at the top of the hill. COOLERS OR OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINK - Coolers are not allowed in the Social Hall while the Canteen is open. The Expedition Center and Amphitheater make great picnic spots. GUEST FEES - Each family is allowed 4 complimentary guests during a visit to The Camp. There is a $5 per child and $8 per adult guest fee for any additional persons over the allotted 4 guests. Guests are not allowed at The Camp without a member present. So please make sure you accompany all guests to The Camp. FITNESS ROOM - Children under the age of 16 are not allowed in the fitness room. SAVING POOL CHAIRS AND TABLES - Please do not hold or save the pool chairs or the tables in the Social Hall. Be courteous to other members and remove your stuff if you are not using the tables or chairs such as when you go out on boats, go kayaking or are not using them for a period of time.

We will be providing the face painting, some fun photo booth props, and we will send your pictures to the address of your choice. Learn how to identify them by observing their avian behaviors. We will be using a few fun feather facts that we ll learn to guide the way. Join the festivities by creating your very own colorful paper piñata and then fill them with traditional treats. PLANTING & POTTERY PAINTING Date: Friday, May 17 Time: 3 5 p.m. Age: 12 yrs. and older Cost: $10 per plant & pot Pre Registration: Wednesday, May 15 Show off your artistic style by using a variety of acrylic paints to create a masterpiece on the pot. Then choose from a selection of flowers or herbs to plant in your pot. LAKE JAMES STATE PARK HIKE Date: Saturday, May 18 Time: 10 a.m. 1 p.m. Cost: $10 per person (includes lunch) Pre Registration: Thursday, May 16 Get to know your 1780 community and neighboring State Park trails by joining us on a hike and picnic lunch. We will meet at The Camp and head out to hike the OVT trail from 1780 to the State Park. We will have lunch at the picnic area in the park that overlooks short-off mountain. This is a moderate to difficult hike with a couple steep hills and totaling about six miles round trip. KIDS FISHING WORKSHOP & GYOTAKU FISH PRINTING Date: Sunday, May 19 Cost: $10 per person Pre Registration: Friday, May 17 Fishing is a fun, family activity! Kids about fishing skills, safety techniques, and how to respect the wildlife & fishery rules. After our fishing workshop the kids will have the opportunity to make a gyotaku fish printing.
