1 Chips from the Buzzsaw Katie Villegas Yolo County Children s Alliance (YCCA) Established in 2002, the YCCA supports families to protect and empower children. Their goal is to help families, primarily non-english speaking families, access services that provide support for families, home visits for pregnant mothers and families with newborns, education parents, and evocate for these families needs in the community. These services include: access to food, income tax assistance, insurance enrollment and navigation, childcare facility matching, and early childhood development and education opportunities. Katie highlighted the Play School Experience, a weekly opportunity for kids to bond and enjoy quality time with your child and other parents through dun and educational activities aimed at promoting children s early development and enhancing readiness for school. I m still proud to be the 68th President of the Mighty Rotary Club of West Sacramento. Today was supposed to President Jim Cahill s last meeting presiding, but Jim is currently in Cleveland teaching yoga. Let s all bid his a fun and fond farewell net Thursday at his demotion dinner. Bell Ringers Luan Christ for her birthday and wedding anniversary. The mighty Rotary Club of West Sacramento was thrilled to have the Dave return. Kodak Kamminga gave an update to his progress in his recovery from pneumonia. Dave says he is doing well and wanted to say thank you for all of the membership thoughts and prayers throughout his recovery. Club Calendar: The Demotion Dinner scheduled for this Thursday evening, June 21. See Past President Bill or Luan Christ with any questions and/or concerns. We will be dark June 22 and June 29, with the new administration taking over July 1. Look for exciting improvements from the new regime. After all, it can only get better, right??
