That's you and me and the more than one million members of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Women of The Moose. This year Moosehaven will celebrate its 90th Anniversary and in 2013 Mooseheart will have a Centennial Celebration depicting 100 years of operation. Without our Moose Family this would never have been possible. Our Kids and our Seniors say thanks for your trust and dependency. They say everybody needs somebody sometime. Well, I guess many of us, including myself, feel that for the most part that they are totally independent. Well I assure you these past few weeks have surely changed my way of thinking. I found myself totally dependent upon my wife and sister-in-law after my recent surgery for a torn rotator cuff. You see, I was totally dependent upon someone else just as our kids and our seniors are. There is a picture hanging in the hallway just outside my office it's titled Vision - "The only way to see the future is to "Create It". That's what we have been doing for nearly 100 years isn't it? Because of your creativity within your s and Chapters in promoting membership and activities we can be proud of our past. This year we have asked all of you to Create Some Interest by talking about this fraternity and your and Chapter. Won't you help us Create The Future and guarantee their tomorrows by signing a member today. With just two months remaining, you still have ample time to sponsor a member or two or three!!! There has never been a better time in our fraternity's history to do so. Tell you what we're going to do! For the next two months Moose International is waiving the $20.00 Enrollment Fee. Therefore, you can sponsor someone that you would want to become a member for just the price of $45.00, a year's dues. For just sponsoring one member you and a companion will be invited to our Preferred Member Party in May. This is a $30.00 value. For the second member you sponsor you will receive a year's free dues, a $45.00 value. What are you waiting for? For each member that you sponsor between February 1 through April 30, 2012 your name will be entered into a drawing whereby your could win one of 13 Home Entertainment Systems in our Mission Four- Create Some Interest Campaign. I'm not done yet! The Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Moose Association will be awarding a $ United States Savings Bond to one lucky winner on May 15, To be eligible for this drawing you have to sponsor 3 new or former members between February 1st and April 30, This will create some real interest. It's as easy as (1) Preferred Member Party for 2 (2) Free year's dues (3) Chance - $ US Savings Bond. This a value filled opportunity for all of us! Let's Not Let Them Down I want to express my thanks and appreciation to all of those who sent a card, an or called during my recovery from surgery. You just can't imagine how much that helped and meant to me. To those who filled in while I was away, Bill, Don, Tom, Ron, Adam, Benny - I say Thank You. To the gal in the office, my Secretary, Janet Toulson my heartfelt thanks for all the extra hours that were donated by you on my behalf. We can be proud of our volunteers. They re the greatest! Fraternally, Ron Sweetman, Administrator 9

Congratulations to our newest Academy Members - Karen, Liz, Rita & Cindy WOTM 1418 Corner Hello, Co-Workers, February has been a busy month, with sandwich night and our Mardi Gras party. We also had a NASCAR party for the start of the first race for the season, looking to have a few more parties in the months to come. Our Mid-Year Conference was very interesting to say the least, with the conference put on hold for a short period of time, while the fire trucks put out a small fire on the roof. But we were back to business and the conference went on with no more problems. Our March calendar is looking busy - starting with our Potato Bar on March 2 from 4-8 cost is $4.00. The House is March 4, from 1-5 and this is open to the public. We are having family bowling on March 10 from 1 to 3 pm. Cost is Our St Patty dinner/dance is on March 17.
