Please get your registra:ons in. All commi?ees are hard at work and the event is really shaping up. Indica:ons so far show the Pancake Breakfast to be very popular. Thanks to Mike Cobb for sugges:ng this and volunteering to take charge. The second new event, the Autocross has been fully approved by the City of Helen. Al Hilderbrand and I had very pleasing conversa:ons with the officials and our proposals were accepted. This is a good chance for anyone that has not raced to try it. Reminder we need door prizes, drinks and chips from guys and desserts from ladies. Do not bring any beer into. If anyone wants to donate for aler hours hospitality give to James Law or Billy Bruce. February 25 and 26, They had all of the usual activities and a great Friday night Hospitality party. Many, many nice door prizes were given away. This is a small club with some very dedicated members that do a great job every year. People s choice show on Saturday included according to my count 25 Corvairs and one Corvair powered air plane under construction. Out of the 25 Corvairs 6 were Rampsides, very unusual for a show of that size. The person in charge of weather really came through. It was a great weekend visiting with our old and new Corvair friends and seeing some Corvairs we had not seen before. We saw no signs of the oil spill. PAGE 5
