Both have signed Plan of Action for the Implementation of the Joint Declaration on a Strategic Partnership for a Peaceful and Prosperous Future between the Government of Indonesia and the Government of South Africa

23 FUTURE TRADE COOPERATION During the 3 rd JTC (Joint Trade Commission) both country have agreed to conduct a joint feasibility study in having Preferential Trade Agreements with SACU (Botswana, Swaziland, Namibia, Lesotho, and South Africa). Cooperation Initiatives between Indonesia and South Africa to establish Indonesia - SACU (Southern Union Custom African) Preferential Trade Agreement needs to be realized to improve trade performance between the two countries.
