5 Township of Brock Durham Region Discover Brock Leave the city behind and escape to the Township of Brock. Deemed Ontario s small-mouth bass capital, this pastoral getaway offers beautiful and quaint countryside delights with century-old architecture for visitors to enjoy each season. Numerous hamlets and distinct villages provide a full range of tourist events and attractions. Located on the scenic shoreline of Lake Simcoe and the Trent-Severn Waterway, this family friendly community abounds with recreational opportunities. In the summer months, spend the day fishing, boating, participating in water sports or exploring the extensive trail network. After a day of recreational activities, soak up the sun and relax on one of Brock s public beaches. As the temperature drops, ice hut operators in Beaverton provide various package deals and accommodations to ensure year-round fishing pursuits along the shores of Lake Simcoe. Take a step back into history at the Beaver River Museum. The museum features a mid - tolate 1800s brick house and an old stone jail, complete with three restored cells. 13 Township of Uxbridge Durham Region Discover Uxbridge Come visit our countryside playground less than an hour away from the Greater Toronto Area. Officially designated the Trail Capital of Canada, Uxbridge is full of activities in every season walk, jog, hike, cycle, cross-country ski, snowshoe, or even ride along the trails on horseback.
