2 London International Consistently Breaking Passenger Load Records Over the last four months, records numbers of passengers have been using London International Airport. London International is known as the easy and comfortable airport and passengers appear to be embracing that concept. There has been a steady increase in the number of passengers flying into and out of London, with a record breaking 51,261 passengers in July up 10% over last year. June saw a healthy 16% increase over the previous year with 45,240 passengers going through the airport. Growth in May was 13% over last year, with the airlines moving over 42,000 passengers in the month. Historically, there is only one month that has exceeded the July passenger loads. 51,996 passengers used London International in August, The growth at London International is what we have all been working towards and is rewarding to see. said Michael Seabrook, President and CEO of London International Airport. With Pearson International getting close to capacity, we believe more people in our area will fly from London, even if it means making a connection at Pearson. he adds. With WestJet s addition of non-stop flights to Vancouver for the summer and Sunwing s addition of Montego Bay, Jamaica in the winter, management reviewed the available services. Since the parking lot was running at 90% capacity in January and February this year, an additional 800 spaces have been added to ensure there is room for everyone. London International s expanded parking lot for 800 more cars will be completed in advance of the coming winter charter season.

3 LONDON INTERNATIONAL GEM PROGRAM LAUNCHED London International has developed a customer service course entitled YXU begins with You. This seminar, which is about an hour in length, will be offered to all London International staff and tenants to enhance everyone s customer service skills as well as the providing them with the knowledge to answer questions that are frequently asked at the airport. Seminar topics include first impressions, the power of observations, simple acknowledgments go a long way, understanding what guests want or need and how can we improve how we do this. From this training program we are excited to launch a new appreciation program. GEM*! We are encouraging passengers, tenants and other staff to nominate someone who went the extra mile and created a *Guest Enhancing Moment. Nominations can be sent in via , website and paper nomination. GEM Nominees will be eligible for fantastic awards every 3 months and invited to a yearly thank you appreciation event. JAM relies on dedicated volunteers and people who have a love and passion for aviation. A great first step to becoming involved or supporting the Museum is to sign up for a membership. The museum is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week from to and we offer a guided Cold War tour. She thought is wasn t a good idea to have this personal information tossed out, so she took it upon herself to return the tags to their owners, and include a brand new London International luggage tag along with a short note. A message from our first winner: In the last issue we asked Name all the Canadian cities to which London YXU currently offers non-stop flights. We received several responses - all very quickly - which we thank you for. We didn t receive any correct responses - as the word currently was key. The correct answer was Toronto (YYZ), Ottawa (YOW), Winnipeg (YWG) and Calgary (YYC). Vancouver was not a destination until the end of June.
