Trip variants to the Cranston Industrial Park and along Atwood Avenue would be discontinued. The route would run short and long trips, operating to the Providence City Line at Plainfield Street every 30 minutes, and operating to Walmart every 60 minutes. 20 Elmwood Avenue / Airport Both Scenarios: the route would alternate short and long trips, operating to the Price Rite on Post Road every 15 minutes, and operating to the Airport every 30 minutes. Scenario 1: Combined with Route 1, service to T.F Green would be operated every 15 minutes during the day. 21 Reservoir / CCRI Both Scenarios: Service would connect CCRI, a new Warwick Mall hub, Pastore Center, Garden City Center, and downtown Providence. It would operate from CCRI via Greenwich, Pontiac and Reservoir Avenues, then express into downtown via Route Pontiac Avenue Both Scenarios: route would discontinue deviations into Pastore Center, which would be served by Route 21, providing faster service between Pontiac Avenue and the Warwick Mall hub. Underutilized route variants would be discontinued to make service faster. Route would not longer be paired with Route 50 Douglas. 29 Kent County Scenario 1: route would operate on a new alignment, traveling from the Center of New England in Coventry to the Warwick Interlink via Arctic Center, CCRI and the Warwick Mall. Other West Warwick locations would be served via the existing Flex Zone. Scenario 2: route would continue to provide service as it does today, between Cowesett Corner and Warwick Neck. 30 Arlington / Oaklawn Avenue Scenario 1: route would use its existing alignment, but the Huntington Ave. Industrial Park, and Gansett and Park variants would be discontinued due to low ridership. Scenario 2: southern segment would be re-aligned to operate via Dean Parkway and Sockanosett Cross Road to Garden City Center. Variants identified above would also be discontinued. 31 Cranston Street Scenario 1: same alignment as today. Scenario 2: service would access the Brewery Parkade via Carolina Street, rather than Garfield Street. Both Scenarios: service would be increased to operate every 15 minutes during the day, and would no longer be through-routed with Route 56 Chalkstone. 32 West Barrington Both Scenarios Begin service at Citizen s Bank call center off of Wampanoag Trail in East Providence (no Barrington terminus). Scenario 2: route would be extended from the Willett Avenue Shaw s in East Providence via County Road and Routes 103/114 into downtown Barrington. Both Scenarios: Discontinue through-routing with Route 3 Warwick due to schedule changes. 3
4 34 East Providence Both Scenarios: route would begin at Evergreen Apartments off Warren Avenue (the Citizen's Bank call center would be served by Route 32). The route would follow its existing alignment to Wampanaog Plaza; then travel via Six Corners and Taunton Avenue to I-195 into Providence (rather than duplicating Route 33 service on Pawtucket Avenue and Route 32 service on Warren Avenue). 35 Rumford / Newport Avenue Scenario 1: the northern terminus would be modified to provide direct service from East Providence to the MBTA rail station in South Attleboro. The northbound loop on Blackstone Boulevard would be discontinued due to low ridership. 42 Hope Street Scenario 1: route would be rebranded as part of a unified Route 1, providing through service between Pawtucket and T.F. Green Airport. The route would operate at 15 minute frequency throughout much of the day. Scenario 2: route would rebranded as part of a unified Route 1 along with Route 77 Benefit/Broadway, operating at 15 minute frequency during the day, with every other trip extending beyond Pawtucket to the South Attleboro MBTA station. 49 Camp Street / Miriam Hospital Both Scenarios: route would be discontinued. Scenario 2: same alignment as today, but at 20 minute frequency. Both Scenarios: no longer operate as throughroute with Route Charles Street Scenario 1: no change in alignment. Note: in Scenario 1, Providence/Newport express trips would be provided via Route 68X. 5
6 63 Broadway / Middletown Shop Both Scenarios: route would serve Middletown Shopping Center in both directions, and use Sunset instead of Maple in the Hillside area. Three inbound AM and three outbound PM trips would be provided. Note: there is no Route 68X in Scenario 2. Express trips between Newport and Providence would be provided via the East Bay on Route 60X. 71 Broad St Both Scenarios: route would be extended south of downtown Pawtucket via Pawtucket Avenue to Job Lot, and schedules would be made more consistent throughout the day. The Lincoln Manor deviation would be discontinued due to low ridership. 72 Weeden Street / Central Falls Both Scenarios: route would be consolidated with Route 53 Smithfield to provide coordinated service along Smithfield Avenue. Route would follow Smithfield Avenue to Weeden Street (Route 53 alignment), then Weeden, Lonsdale and Dexter into Pawtucket (Route 72 alignment). Scenario 2: route would be through-routed with Routes 1 and 42, providing through-service to Cranston. 78 Beverage Hill Avenue / Newport Avenue Scenario 1: no alignment change. Route would operate at consistent 60 minute frequency throughout the day. The route would operate on consistent 60 minute headways. 79 Columbus Avenue Scenario 1: no alignment change. Scenario 2: route would be consolidated with, and rebranded as, Route 35.
