8 BEECHCRAFT KING AIR 350 WITH PROLINE LOR-2 LOG OF REVISIONS REVISION PROCEDURES This training program is maintained by the Compliance Office and is revised upon request by flight training management, senior management, or the FAA. Revisions will be sequentially numbered with the 4-character year followed by a two-character numeric revision for that year this format xxxx-xx (e.g ). Each page in the document will be dated and include its revision number. Revision numbers and dates on pages are amended only when something on that page changes. To show revised material, amended pages will make use of any reasonable combination of strike-through and/or highlighting to show revised or added text. Except for the control and log of revision pages where highlighting only is used, vertical bars are used to show the span of amended or deleted text. When strike-through is used to show deleted text, that deleted text may be removed the next time another revision is made to that page. When an entire page is added or amended, only a vertical change bar is used and highlighting is not used. Whenever the program is amended, the assigned FAA inspector(s) will be provided electronic copies of the revised pages in Adobe Postscript (PDF) format. An entire PDF copy of the proposed revised program will also be provided. Once FAA approval is received, the previous program will be archived and a PDF of the newly-approved program will be stored on the Production drive along with a scan of the FAAsigned control pages. An up-to-date printed copy of this training program is also maintained in the Compliance office. INTERIM REVISIONS Between permanent revisions to this program, it may be necessary to provide an interim revision on short notice. To ensure that needed amendments can be put into use promptly, the following procedure may be used as needed between revisions: An interim revision need is identified and the work request is sent to the Compliance office. The Compliance office consults with the appropriate parties and generates an interim revision. The proposed interim revision is sent to the TCPM by the Compliance office. If the TCPM approves of the interim revision, written approval is provided. Note: An from the FAA constitutes written approval. The written approval will be retained in printed or digital form to show authorization for the interim revision until the amendment is included in a future permanent revision. A yellow page insert will be added to the appropriate place in the training program clearly identifying the interim revision. 28 OVERVIEW BEECHCRAFT KING AIR 350 WITH PROLINE CO-18 CURRICULUM OVERVIEW 14. Practical Tests Prior to administering a practical test, TCEs must review the student s record to verify that the student has successfully completed a curriculum where the particular practical test is allowed. Although a completion certificate stating that the student has graduated from an Initial or Recurrent course is included in the student record, TCEs must also review the Student Record Profile document which lists the exact course title the student was enrolled in and compare the course title to the allowable certificate or rating result allowed by that curriculum s training program qualification section. 15. TCE Administrative Actions Not Authorized TCEs are not authorized to perform purely administrative functions with regard to the issuance or modification of a certificate, rating or limitations. TCEs may issue or amend a certificate, rating, or limitation only when that action is associated with the student s successful completion of a training program and, if applicable, a practical test. TCEs may only perform certificate actions matching the possible course results listed in the training program s Qualifications section. As an example, a type rating, limited to SIC privileges, may be issued when successful completion of an eligible curriculum occurs and the student provides documentation showing one takeoff and landing in that type aircraft. Allowable certificate and rating outcomes are listed in each curriculum s Qualifications section.
29 GROUND TRAINING BEECHCRAFT KING AIR 350 WITH PROLINE GTA-1 ADMINISTRATION GROUND TRAINING ADMINISTRATION 1. Ground Training Objectives GROUND TRAINING ADMINISTRATION The primary objective of airplane ground training is to provide students with the necessary knowledge for understanding the functions of airplane systems, the use of the individual system components, the integration of those airplane systems, and pertinent operational procedures. Upon completion of a specific ground training module, such as hydraulics, the student will be sufficiently prepared to complete the corresponding flight training modules. Airplane ground training is conducted by using the media that is approved for our training center. Specific media is usually classroom instruction, computer-based instruction, ground training devices, flight training devices, flight simulators, and static airplanes. 2. Integrated Ground / Simulator / Flight Training FlyRight Inc. will utilize training aids and devices in conjunction with the visual flight simulator. Classroom instruction and ground training devices, are used during ground school training and are available to trainees in later training phases. Systems Integration and Cockpit Procedures Training gives students the hands-on experience which can greatly facilitate the transfer of learning to the flight simulator. Integration of the training aids and devices used in ground training with the simulator maximizes the total training, checking, and certification process. All systems integration modules will be completed prior to the student starting full flight simulator training. 3. Instructor Qualifications Instructors must complete our training center s instructor qualification course and be listed as an instructor with specific course / curriculum authorizations in accordance with FAR and Each instructor must meet the individual requirements of
30 GROUND TRAINING BEECHCRAFT KING AIR 350 WITH PROLINE GTA-2 ADMINISTRATION GROUND TRAINING ADMINISTRATION 4. Completion Standards and Testing At the end of the ground training curriculum segment, the student will be able to locate, identify, and operate all airplane systems. The crewmember will be able to perform all normal, abnormal, and emergency operating procedures. Additionally, the crewmember will be able to demonstrate knowledge of airplane performance, as well as systems and airplane limitations. The crewmember will be capable of satisfactorily completing the Academic Qualification requirements at the end of segments where Academic Qualification modules are specified. During ground instruction each student will be administered oral questions on specific modules. These questions may help the instructor identify problem areas and individual student weakness. At the end of the initial ground training courses an exam is administered to students. A score of 80% or better, corrected to 100%, is considered passing. Students receiving less than an 80% score must retake another version of the test. If the student scores 80% or better on the second test(s), that test is corrected to 100% and the ground course is completed. If the student scores less than 80% on the second test, the Chief Instructor will determine deficient areas and assign student to additional training in the deficient modules. No student can start flight training in an ATP or Type-Rating course until they have successfully completed ground training. For courses where a certificate will be issued, students must pass a practical test (oral) on airplane systems and airplane performance and then be able to demonstrate flight proficiency to the standards set forth in the FAA s applicable Airman Certification Standards document. See also, Satisfactory Completion in the Note and Definitions section. 5. Training Records Instructors are responsible for completion of the student training records, to include the student s performance on each lesson Details of student records, courses completed, and other training center records are maintained as described in FlyRight Inc. s FAA-approved record-keeping system.
