2 Dear CONSULEGIS colleagues and friends, We are very pleased to announce that the European Regional Meeting 2014 is going to take place in Italy s beautiful capital city, Rome. The focus of the European Meeting, which will be hosted by Mariani, Menaldi & Associati, will be: New Business generation opportunities for European members and CONSULEGIS - Public regulations : This covers potential participation in EU public tenders regarding legal services and EU fundraising. The opportunities derive from CONSULEGIS EEIG status. - Private laws : The discussion will assess the potential of Bonds as a tool to support companies growth in the current crunch scenario. Your personal experiences: Please choose a topic out of any of your interesting European cases of the past months. This should enable us to review a number of practical questions, which arise out of the challenging European developments rather than academic analyses. We feel it`s necessary to encourage you to give younger lawyers in your firm a chance to join the European Regional Meeting 2014! Not only work, of course. For such a special event we have chosen two wonderful venues, neither of which are open to tourists. And we will of course enjoy some typical local food and wines in very authentic and popular Roman trattorias. We will start on Friday, 21 st 2014, around h at the law office of Mariani, Menaldi & Associati with a Welcome drink and buffet lunch and we will close the meeting around 15:00 h on Saturday. 3 Goals The goals of the meeting are to widen business generation opportunities (introducing the subjects of European fundraising and the participation in European public tenders for legal services) and the exchange of hot topics in European Law. To stimulate more discussion, we invited motivational speakers, who are public officers and private managers regularly involved in these practice areas. To ensure a more hands-on and practical approach, we have been planned this conference in partnership with the ENPI Authority (European Neighborhood and Partnership Instruments) and Unioncamere (Italian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Aircrafts). Other qualified stakeholders will also be present. During the informal meeting and since the group is relatively small (limited to a maximum of 40 participants), everyone is encouraged to speak. We want you to present your personal experience in form of short speeches/presentations. Please choose a topic arising out of your international cases of the past months. The CONSULEGIS member firms mentioned with the logo have already sent us information concerning their presentations and will play an active part in the upcoming meeting. This should enable us, as in the past, to look at a number of practical cases and questions which arise out of the challenging European developments rather than academic legal analysis. Please take this also as an opportunity to tell us about lessons learnt from that case. Of course the presentations should be made in English. The presentations do not have to be in writing, a short and informal free speech will do. The two meeting sessions will also focus on business generation opportunities - for members and CONSULEGIS as mentioned above. All short report of your presentation will be published in the CONSULEGIS Newsletter and News Flash and will be uploaded to the CONSULEGIS Website. 8 CANCELLATION CONDITIONS AND GENERAL CONDITIONS ACCOMMODATION The rooms have been reserved for the CONSULEGIS European Regional Meeting and are subject to special conditions group sales. Please note individual cancellation conditions and policy on your separate hotel confirmation! MEETING PACKAGE The cancellation conditions for individual participants have been established as follows, entailing the payment of the following charges for the meeting package price: No cancellation fees for the hotel, dinners, etc. will be charged up until February 10 th After that: From February 10 th until 17 th February % will be charged, after 17 th February 2014 or in case of no show 100 % will be charged. We can not accept cancellations over the phone. GRAPHICAL MATERIAL Participants are aware that they may be photographed throughout the duration of the conference. They hereby assign to CONSULEGIS, with their signature of this form, the right to use the material within the official CONSULEGIS communication tools (Internet, Intranet, Newsletter, etc.) for an unlimited term and free of charge. GENERAL CONDITIONS CONSULEGIS reserves the right to cancel or postpone the congress to a later date, change the congress venue and/or program, make any corrections or modifications in the information published in the program and cancel any invitation to participate in the conference, at any time and at its entire discretion, without having to provide any reasons for the same. Neither CONSULEGIS nor any of its managers, employees, agents, members or representatives shall be held responsible for any loss or damage, of any nature, suffered (directly or indirectly) by a conference delegate, accompanying person or a third party following any cancellations, changes, postponements or modifications. HEALTH The organizers decline any responsibility in case of any health problems existing prior to the conference that may lead to complications or be aggravated during the entire period of the stay including but not limited to pregnancy, cardio-vascular problems, any allergies, special diets, any disorders under treatment and not yet consolidated on the day the congress starts, psychic, mental or depressive illness, etc. 8

9 How to get to Rome? By plane Aeroporto di Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" is the largest and busiest airport of Italy. It is located some 35 kilometers of Rome. The airport is connected to Rome city centre by taxi, bus and train. Train connection Fiumicino Airport-Rome Termini station: Fare 14,00, 30 minutes trip Tickets are available at ticket-offices, machines and newsagents at the airport and the station Timetable: every 30 minutes Fiumicino - Roma from 6.37am till 11.37pm Roma - Fiumicino from 5.52am till 10.52pm Aeroporto di Ciampino "G.B. Pastine" Ciampino airport "G.B. Pastine" is the second airport in Rome, used by charter flights, private jets and low cost airlines. By train Termini Station: The main train station in Rome is the so-called Roma Termini. It is one of the largest train stations in Europe. Its central location makes it possible for tourists who choose to get to Rome by train to enjoy the privilege of getting off the train and find themselves surrounded by the most reputed sights of the capital. Tiburtina Station: This is the second railway station in Rome, well connected with Termini by bus as well as by underground.
