10 What to Pack One Checked Bag plus Instrument Max bag dimensions of 35.5 x 29.5 x 16 inches, Max Weight 51 lbs One Carry-on Bag (small bag or backpack) Max dimensions of 22 x 18 x 10 inches including wheels and handles Clothes Think layers of clothes that can be combined to cover temperatures from 46 o F to 64 o F (like San Francisco weather) A warm sweater with a light windbreaker/rain jacket works well Italy is more formal than California, so less skin and more clothes is advised Some religious sights will not allow you in if you are wearing shorts or sleeveless shirts Bring slacks (jeans are fine), skirts and most important Comfortable Walking Shoes Plan on reusing clothes, You will not be doing any laundry 10

15 Behavior Expectations We are there to perform and have a great time, but You are representing South High and are expected to be on proper behavior School rules are in effect 24/7 NO drinking, smoking, drugs Students must be with chaperones at all times No girls allowed in boys room; no boys in girls room Remember, you re not the only one at the hotel; Be courteous to everyone (keep noise down) Students will not leave the hotel or group tour for any reason without a chaperone No room service; No pay-for-view movies; Do not use the room phone for local or long distance calls 15

Yes, students will pack their assigned Tuxedo WHAT IF THEY GET LOST OR STOLEN? We ll figure that out, should it happen DOES SOUTH HIGH PROVIDE THE TUX SHIRT? Shirt, vest, tie, and shoes are included with new Tuxedos DO JAZZ STUDENTS BRING A SUIT AND TUX? Yes another good reason not to over pack CAN A STUDENT WEAR A BLACK SHIRT WITH THEIR SUIT? Jazz students can be colorful with their attire CAN THE STUDENT WEAR THE SAME SHOES FOR BOTH SUIT AND TUX? Yes EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT FLIGHT TIMES, DO ALL TRIP MEMBERS LEAVE SOUTH HIGH AT THE SAME TIME FOR THE AIRPORT AND DO THEY ALSO RETURN AT THE SAME TIME FROM THE AIRPORT? No, there are separate call times and return times, detailed in March 16 presentation WHERE ARE THE FINAL AND ACTUAL FLIGHT TIMES? See March 16 presentation package ARE THERE ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR EACH BAND MEMBER OTHER THAN BRINGING THEIR INSTUMENTS, MUSIC STAND, MUSIC? The sheet music will be packaged separately and be part of baggage WILL THERE BE WEBSITE UPDATES FROM THE TRIP? We will seek a volunteer to keep website updated WHAT WEBSITE?
