1 TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON SUNDAY 4th NOVEMBER 2018 Registration Fee: 300 Minimum sponsorship: 3,300 (Based on twin share basis & 4 nights accommodation additional night/s are available at additional cost) **We advise immediate booking in order to guarantee your place** If you run, then The TCS New York City Marathon should be at the top of your list. The city is big, brash and exciting the marathon is equally so. The crowds are as loud as they come as you run through a melting pot of ethnic and cultural influences as you leave suburban Staten Island, run through Brooklyn and Queens before crossing into Manhattan. Walkers as well as runners are welcome to participate - the Finish Line is open for at least 8 hours and walkers start behind runners at the same time. Why not bring along your non-running partners, family and friends on the tour - a great time is guaranteed! The Marathon starts on Sunday 5th November from Staten Island, and runs through all 5 city boroughs (Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Manhattan). There are 4 wave starts. Your start wave is determined by your previous best time (if any) and predicted time. Once your entry is submitted to New York, we cannot alter the time you indicated. Details of the waves will be outlined in our final tour details. The marathon finishes in Central Park.

2 Cancer Fund for Children, in association with Sports Travel International, have an allocation of entries and so we can offer you a guaranteed entry as part of our tour package, regardless of your previous times (if any). You just need to be resident on the island of Ireland and be at least 18 years old on marathon day. HOTEL - Minimum stay is 4 nights The Westin New York Grand Central Hotel is an excellent 4 star hotel, superbly located in the bustling heart of the city on East 42nd Street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. It is within walking distance of some of New York s finest landmarks and attractions, such as Grand Central Station, the United Nations, 5th Avenue shopping, Times Square, the Theatre District and the Empire State Building. The beautiful Chrysler building is across the road. It is also only a short shuttle bus ride to Race Registration and the Marathon Expo in the Jacob Javits Center. The hotel rooms are spacious with an excellent en suite bathroom. Facilities include a Fitness Center and the LCL Bar & Restaurant which offers American cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. While breakfast is not included in the tour price, you can enjoy breakfast at the hotel or at the excellent Sandwicherie diner next door where the quality is high and the prices are reasonable. There is complimentary Wi Fi in the hotel s lounge and lobby. The Westin New York Grand Central Hotel is 100% nonsmoking. FLIGHTS: All flights are direct: Flights from Dublin or Shannon to New York JFK are with Aer Lingus (EI). Flights will be allocated at time of booking on a first come basis. Additional nights can be confirmed on request. * Airport transfers in New York from/to JFK on Thurs 1 Nov / Fri 2 Nov and Tues 6 Nov / Wed 7 Nov only. * Private Coach from the hotel to the race start on Staten Island (Runners Only). * Guaranteed Marathon Race Entry, which includes an excellent Pasta Party, Post- Race Party & Disco, Sports Expo, New York City Marathon T-Shirt, Medal, Race Certificate and Results Magazine. * A Celebration Dinner with live music on Monday 5 November at a typical Manhattan venue. * Travel Insurance, which includes cover for marathon participation, as well as travel disruption. * Services of Sports Travel International guides from Thurs 1 Nov Wed 7 Nov. * The security of a fully Licensed and Bonded travel agency. COACH TO RACE START: To avoid queuing at 4.30am for the race organisers public buses to the start (which leave from the New York Public Library), we provide a private coach from the hotel directly to the race start, leaving the hotel from 6.45am. Departures will be staggered according to your race wave start time, for your maximum convenience. CELEBRATION DINNER: Join your fellow runners and non-running companions on Monday evening for a well-deserved celebration dinner followed by musical entertainment. This is included as part of your tour and enjoyment is guaranteed! Non-Runners If you have friends and family interested in going, non-runners are more than welcome. Non-runners can register with a deposit of 600 (can be paid in two instalments) and final balance of 896 to be paid by 9th July This is on the basis of 4 night s accommodation. Additional nights are available at a cost.

5 Register today To book your place today simply: Runners and Non-Runners complete the tour booking form Runners complete the race entry form and waiver Return both forms with a deposit of 300 per runner or 600 per non-runner BOOKING RULES - Please read these rules and attached Booking Terms & Conditions carefully. * Forms to be completed by the participant personally. * All flights are on the dates / times from Dublin and Shannon listed above and on a first-come basis. * When our allocation of pre-booked flights is sold out, additional flights may incur a fare supplement. You will be advised at time of booking if this arises. Book early! * If flights are requested on different dates, these flights are subject to availability and any fare supplement which may apply. Only one segment can be changed (the outward or the return, not both). * Saturday flights (marathon eve) are not possible as you MUST pick up your number personally by 4pm on Saturday. No one can pick up your number for you. * If you are travelling with friends, co-ordinate your flights before booking if you wish to be on the same flights. * Your booking is part of a tour group booking. All queries must be to ourselves, not to the hotel, the airline or the race organisers. * Changes requested after booking has been confirmed will incur a 27 change fee plus any supplementary airline charges payable. * ABSOLUTELY NO changes to flights will be allowed after Friday August 10th. * There is no discount if you choose to stay at a hotel other than the tour hotel or if you do not wish to use the flights. No one-way flights are allowed. * All booking forms must have your name exactly as on your passport. This is your responsibility. It is costly to change names later with the airline. Also, you may be

6 refused permission to board the flight by U.S. Immigration if ticket and passport names do not match. If you change your passport after booking and your name changes (e.g. after marriage) you must let us know before tickets are issued. * If you have not run a marathon previously, you MUST still give a predicted time on the race entry form. SPORTS TRAVEL INTERNATIONAL LTD BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS 2018 TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHON TOUR Your tour contract is with Sports Travel International Ltd. Licence No.T.A If you are fundraising for charity your fundraising contract is with your chosen charity. 1. When you make your booking you must complete a Booking Form, accept the tour booking conditions and rules which apply, and pay the appropriate deposits. The name on the Booking Form MUST be the name as on your passport. Forms must be completed by the participant personally. 2. The tour price will be re-confirmed by invoice after the booking has been accepted. 3. The balance of the cost of your tour MUST be paid by 9th July If the balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to apply a late payment surcharge or cancel your tour, or retain your deposit and apply cancellation charges as set out below. 4. You may cancel your tour at any time, provided that the cancellation is communicated to us initially by telephone and subsequently by or letter. To cover administrative and tour costs incurred, we will apply cancellation charges as outlined below. 5. Special requests such as vegetarian inflight meals will be noted and requested but cannot be guaranteed. 6. It is unlikely we will have to make any changes to your tour, but we do plan the arrangements many months in advance. Occasionally, changes may be made and we reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes are minor and we will advise you at the earliest possible date. Flight timings and carriers in the tour details are subject to change as a result of airline procedures and these details are given for guidance only. Flight details will be shown on your tickets. If a major change becomes necessary, we will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible before departure. 7. We reserve the right, in any circumstances, to cancel your tour and all tours operate subject to a minimum number of participants. However, in no case will we cancel your tour less than 8 weeks before departure, except for reasons of force majeure / events beyond our control. 8. In the event of force majeure, prior to travel or while on tour, the terms of our insurance policy will apply. 9. If you have a problem during your tour, you MUST inform our representative, who will endeavour to put things right quickly. If your complaint cannot be resolved locally, your representative will complete a report and forward it to our office. We will then contact you on your return. It is a condition of this contract that you communicate any problem to the supplier of the service(s) in

7 question AND to our representative while on tour. If you fail to follow this procedure we can t accept responsibility as we will have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and resolve the problem. In the event of a dispute, the laws of the Republic of Ireland will apply. 10. Completion of the online immigration procedure (ESTA) in good time is entirely your responsibility. Sports Travel International cannot be held responsible for refusal of entry by U.S. immigration authorities, nor can we intervene in the procedure. 11. Bookings per room are for the number of people booked with us. Under no circumstances can additional unbooked persons be brought into a room. If additional persons are brought into any room then the appropriate tour charges will apply and the person who made the original booking will be responsible for payment. This is a strict condition of the tour. 12. No changes to your flights are allowed after 10 August. Cancellation Charges per person: *Cancellations up to 9 July - forfeit of deposit *Cancellations made from 10 July - 17 Aug - forfeit of 50% of tour + cost of Entry *Cancellations made from 18 Aug - 15 Sept - forfeit of 80% of tour + cost of Entry *Cancellations made on or after 16 Sept or if no cancellation notice is given prior to departure - the total cost is liable to forfeit. Carriage of passengers and baggage is performed in accordance with the General Conditions of Carriage and Regulations of the airline used for your tour. These are available on the airline s website.

New York will allocate the options based on the number of requests for each option and the number of places available. BAGGAGE OPTION - NO Choosing this option offers two advantages: After you finish the marathon, early exit from Central Park and quick access to Family Reunion and public transportation A waterproof, wind-resistant Marathon Finish Line Poncho to keep you warmer and dryer, distributed at the exit from Central Park NY recommend the No-Baggage option for runners who: Do not need specific items at the Start to be brought to the Finish Can have friends or family members meet them in Family Reunion Are experienced in running marathons and understand the post-finish experience Runners who choose this option will receive an Official Start Village Bag and Early Exit wristband at the expo. This bag may be used to bring pre-race items into the start area at Fort Wadsworth, but may not be checked for transport to the finish. (All items left at the start will be gathered and donated to Goodwill Industries or recycled.) The wristband must be worn during the race and will identify runners for the early exit from Central Park.

14 Runners with medication needs will be able to make arrangements with the medical director to check these items at a designated medical area at the start and have them safely and securely transported to the finish. No narcotics (including prescription painkillers and Tylenol with codeine) and no medications that require refrigeration will be accepted. Please let us know if you will have the above medication requirements. BAGGAGE OPTION - YES Choosing this option allows runners to check a bag at the start for transport to a baggage retrieval area located about half a mile north of the No Baggage area. After retrieving their bag, runners can return south to the Family Reunion area. Runners who choose this option will receive an Official UPS Bag and a sticker at the expo. This bag, with sticker affixed, will be checked at the start. Only Official UPS Bags may be checked; backpacks and other bags will not be accepted. Bags will be transported to the post-finish area. The bag will be large enough to hold shoes, warm clothing, and small personal items. Please tick the appropriate box on the race entry form.
