13 The Sports First Aid course is designed for all levels of sport and recreational activities and can be used to train individuals that require basic first aid skills and training in the management of sports specific illnesses and injuries. The Sports First Aid course also meets the recommendations of the HSE Health and Safety at Work (1981) Regulations for Appointed Persons in the Workplace. This course also meets the first aid requirements of the Department for Children, Schools and Families for First Aid in Schools.
