O'Leno Park Road High Springs, Florida Weklaka State Forest 20 mi south of Palaka, FL Gothe State Forest Trail System Three trailheads for shared use. They are all along CR 337. The northern trailhead is Black Prong and it is just north of CR 326. The middle trailhead is Apex; this is also the site of the new office complex. It is located on CR 337, just south of SR 121. Tidewater is at the bottom of CR 337, just before you get to CR 336. The newest trailhead is Buck Island Pond and it is on CR 337 too. It is not designed for horse trailers. Please remember to have a copy of your Coggins Test papers with you AT ALL TIMES, even on the trail! Horse drawn carriages are welcome on both the Cellon and Turkey Creek trails. The two single-track trails (Sanchez and Sidewinder) are not wide enough to accommodate carriages. 30 miles of driving trails. Sandhill Horse trail. Over 100 miles of trailsin N. Central FL, most suitable for carriages. All of these trailheads have picnic tables, water spigots, a bulletin board(kiosk), fire grills and hitching posts. Tidewater and Black Prong both have beautiful restrooms; Tidewater and Apex have large picnic shelters also. There are approximately miles of marked trails at each site Camping, barn with 20 stalls and showers. 72-horse stable, training arenas ($25/day) and show horse arena ($50/day), dorm rooms with showers, bunk beds. Horses are permitted to ride anywhere on the forest, and may even go cross-country. There are miles of old woods roads that make excellent horse riding trails. There are no designated horse trails. Flatwoods two trail roads with about 4 miles on Road 1. Stay on road 1. Managed by DOF and FWC. Day use fee. 33 mile of accessible roads. Manager- Fl. The best designated trail suitable for horse drawn carriages would be the 7.75 mile Red Root Horse Trail which follows established roads through the original Cary Tract map2.pdf/ 10 miles of dirt/gravel road within the forest accessible by carts, no barriers. Road 1 will provide 4 miles of relatively smooth two trail road. There are several low water rock crossings. Slightly bumpy in some areas but generally good and well established roads. There is a hard surface low water crossing along this trail that vehicles use to cross a small creek on North Boundary Rd. Water levels may reach 3-4 in the summer but this crossing remains passable by vehicles most of the year with 1 or less of water. One metal bridge, all roads are accessible by vehicle and equines. No designated trail. Camping, but no equestrian? Camping is available at Stephen Foster State Park (equestrian?). Paddock, equestrian camping, rustic only. 3 camping sites, no electric, but with bathrooms and showers. Page 3 of 7

The well-marked trail system includes 33 miles of horseback riding trails and 15 miles of carriage-friendly trails. Wranglers Campground, the Southeast's premier horse camp. Stalls, hitching posts, hot showers. Overnight boarding available at The Inn at Shaker Village (stalls, paddocks, parking for trailers). More description of the area would be appreciated. Over 4,000 acres of land dedicated for equestrian use. The Foundation is very carriage friendly. Fox Hunting is also popular on the land. The trails are well marked, and the fire roads are great for carriages. This is a great place to rent a cabin and hand out with your horse(s). Some of the trails are not carriage friendly, but some of them will work for hardy carts or wagons. There is a few miles of paved road and meadow with a creek that can be a great easy drive. This is an amazing park for carriage driving. The 25 miles of trails where originally set up for the Cone family to drive the carriages on. This is a day park only. From the owner - We have several trails and people with wagons here all the time. A few weeks ago, they took a 15 mile ride to Davis Lake and spent the night and then came back. They couldn't camp in the campground but have a private individual who lets them stay on their property. We also have a Fly Wheel Festival twice a year with parade downtown, 4 miles away and they love for the carriages to be in the parade. There are many great areas to ride here. Donna. This is a wonderful educational park with about 15 miles of equestrian trails.. The equestrian trails are Equestrian use multi-use and are marked with green requires registration. road signs. The trails are fire and access roads, with good footing.. One of the trails has a creek crossing and runs by the Neuse River. 25 miles of beautiful carriage trails at Moses Cone Park. Smallest town in NC, horses and carriages ONLY allowed on roads, no motorized vehicles. Over 50 miles of trails. Trails are sand so you do not need shoes, and there is no hunting, except fox-hunting with hounds on Saturdays from October to March. Some of the footing is crushed gravel, some is compacted dirt and some is sand, shoes are suggested. The trails have gates, but your reservation includes a key for the gate. The gates are about 14' wide. There is a very large horse trailer parking area with portpotties, cabins also available for overnight, but no horse accomodations. Campsites with water & electric are $20/night, and overnight stalls for your horse are also $20/night. A guide map is available at each entrance to the park. Conditions good- rolling hills, decent terrain for riding and driving. Trails are varied. Gravel road with sandy trails. Rocky stream crossings. No gates, some grades of varying degrees. Wooden wheels not recommend. Many camping sites, primitive to cabin. 150 stalls. 33 stalls available, $15/day/res, $16.50/day/nonres. Must provide on food and bedding and clean up before leaving.
