3 Mission Statment: elevating the air transporation experience for travelers through these five key values: safety, experience, comfort, style & joy. WORLD AIRLINES // IDENTITY GUIDELINES 3
4 BRAND MARK SOLID LOGO The logo is made from the typeface Gotham Rounded Light Italic and Gotham Rounded Medium. The word world is filled with an image. LOGO SPACING When applying the logo, the T should be used to determine the minimum amount of required white space around the logo. The largest size the solid logo may be displayed at is 6" wide. 2" WORLD The smallest size the filled in logo may be displayed at is 2" wide. A small scale logo is provided for applications smaller than 2". 6" The solid logo can be used when a simpler version is needed for a smaller simpler application. The solid version of the logo must be used in instances where the logo is less than 5 in length because it is likely that most versions of the photo would become unreadable at smaller sizes. The solid logo can be displayed using the color palette or in black and white. The minimum size that the solid logo can appear is.5" in length. The solid filled logo may be used at all sizes larger than.5". If the logo is greater than fiveinches, the photographic version is recommended. 1".5" The smallest size the logo be displayed at.5" wide. 5 LOGO PHOTOGRAPHY The logo is displayed with black text and a photo filled world. All of the photography will have a colorful, cheery and light tone. The images support the application that they are used in. Images of clouds or the view of patterns on the ground will be used on aircraft and most general applications. The photograph used will correspond with it s use. For example, images of food will appear on menus, luggage for baggage claim areas and pets for animal travel companions. Photography should only be used in logos that are larger than 5 in length. The images loose too much detail at a very small scale. 6 PRINT Frutiger 45 Light ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz TYPOGRAPHY TransWorld Blue Pantone Process Blue Uncoated d0 TransWorld Green Pantone 362 Uncoated a942 COLOR SYSTEM Frutiger 55 Roman ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz Frutiger 65 Bold ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz Sans Serif/Frutiger Frutiger is used in all documents, publications, advertising and applications for onboard reading and reference materials. While all the weights in the Frutiger typeface family are acceptable, Frutiger 45 Light or 55 Roman is preferred for body copy. 65 Bold is used for headings. Web/Verdana Verdana is the typeface that TransWorld uses on the website and for emarketing correspondence and enewsletters. TransWorld Gray Pantone 7544 Uncoated TransWorld Black Pantone 7544 Uncoated TransWorld White ffffff The main colors for TransWorld non photographic applications are TransWorld Blue and TransWorld Green. The following are unacceptable color applications of the trademark: tinting the logo, changing the color of trans on the photo logo from black. When an image cannot be used with the logo, a 1 or 2 color version may be used instead. TransWorld should always be one brand color. 7 Do not add filters to the logo such as gradients, drop shadows or beveling. Do not change the positioning of trans and world. Do not skew the logo shape Do not fill the whole logo with a photograph BRAND MARK INTEGRITY The TransWorld logo should be consistently displayed using these guidelines. The letters should never be scewed, stretched or otherwise transformed. The logo should not be angled nor rotated. Only approved photographs may be used to fill world. APPLICATIONS // KIOSK Avoid waiting in line and have your boarding pass printed and ready for security checkpoints by checking in at a TransWorld Check in kiosk at the airport. You can use Check in kiosks when you are traveling domestically or internationally from several U.S. and international airports. Visit the Airport Check in page to find out which airports have Check in kiosks available. Customers holding TransWorld e Tickets can use Check in kiosks to: Check in Print boarding passes Change flights Request standby for an earlier flight View alternate flight options and make changes even for flights impacted by weather or other irregular operations View a real time seat map and request or change seat assignments Request or redeem an upgrade Print an e Ticket receipt Check baggage (at select kiosks) WORLD transworld 10 WORLD AIRLINES // IDENTITY GUIDELINES WORLD AIRLINES // IDENTITY GUIDELINES 11
8 Passengers can quickly scan their itineraries or identification to access their travel information on a TransWorld Airport check in kiosk. They are greeted with a yellow sun during the day which changes to a moon for late red eye flights. It is designed so that the passenger can quickly print out a boarding pass and get to the gate where they can enjoy complementary beverages and snacks before boarding their flight. 9 APPLICATIONS // BOARD- ING PASSES APPLICATIONS // E BOARDING PASSES Paper boarding passes are printed at self Check in Kiosks and ticketing counters. They are 4 x 7 These tickets include both a QR (Quick Response) Code and a traditional bar code for international flights. The QR Codes can be used by Flight Attendants for flight check in or scanned by passengers to access their itineraries with the password on their account. 3G 8:32 AM BOARDING PASS TW523 GATE 45 SEAT 23D 9:15 A Boarding passes can also be sent to your phone from the airport or at home. 10 APPLICATIONS // LIVERY Airline livery can be updated with new photography. TransWorld hugs the wing of the plane, the globe shape on the plane and the logo contain the same image.
