Market Street Washington C.H., Ohio (740) JUNE NEWS Last updated 07/01/ THEFT: Rhonda Showalter, Washington CH reported a bicycle had been stolen from outside a residence on Peddicord Ave. Later in the day the bicycle was located at another location by Sheriff s Deputies and returned to Showalter SUSPICIOUS PERSONS: Employees of the Sunglass Hut Outlet and Coach Outlet, at the Tanger Mall reported suspicious activities involving the use of credit cards. When the subjects were asked to provide identification to make purchases on the credit cards the subjects declined to do so and cancelled the transactions. No known transactions were made. The subjects were located and identified. THEFT: Sanjay Malik, of Grove City reported the rear license plate had been removed from his vehicle while parked at his place of business. MENACING / TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Ivan Joseph, Washington CH reported he had been receiving numerous voic messages that he believed to be threatening in nature from his a known person. Joseph was referred to the solicitor if he wished to pursue criminal charges. THEFT / MISUSE OF CREDIT CARDS: Staci Payton, Washington CH, reported her daughter s debit card information had been used to make two unauthorized purchases. TRAFFIC CRASH HIT SKIP: Employees of the Fayette Co Fairgrounds reported an unknown vehicle struck a utility pole on the fairgrounds causing damage. THEFT: Employees of Gap Outlet, Tanger Mall reported two subjects removed merchandise from the store without making payment for the items. The subjects were not located. OBSTRUCTING OFFICIAL BUSINESS: Deputies observed a subject who was known to have an outstanding warrant in a vehicle near Eyman Park. Upon attempting to make contact with this subject he fled on foot and was not located. POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENT / DRUG PARAPHERNALIA / ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS OF ABUSE INTO A DETENTION FACILITY: Deputies responded to a report of a recklessly operated vehicle. The vehicle was located in the village of Bloomingburg and a female standing near the vehicle was contacted and found to be under the influence of a narcotic. Upon searching the vehicle, a syringe and other drug abuse paraphernalia

2 was located. Isabelle Allman, of Washington CH was arrested and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. During the intake search of Allman at the jail she was found to be in possession of four Xanax tablets. Allman was additionally charged for Conveyance of Drugs Abuse into a detention facility BURGLARY / THEFT: Angela Ross, Greenfield reported someone forcibly entered her residence and removed property. THEFT: Employees of Tommy Hilfiger, Tanger Mall reported three subjects removed merchandise from the store without making payment for the items. The area was checked by the responding deputies but the suspects were not located. VEHICLE DAMAGE: Nick Cummings, Bloomingburg reported an employee was mowing the ditch line near his residence when an unknown subject stopped at his residence and reported a stone had been thrown up by the mower causing damage to the windshield of the vehicle. Cummings requested a report, but did not have the name of the person who claimed their vehicle had been damaged. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a reported domestic incident behind the Bloomingburg Post Office. Upon arriving at the Post Office, a male and female, both of Bloomingburg were located and found to have been involved in a verbal argument. Both parties denied any threats or physical altercation ASSIST CITIZEN: Gretchen Specht, Pickerington reported she inadvertently locked the keys to her vehicle in the car with her 19 month old child still in the vehicle. Deputies responded and forcibly entered the vehicle at her request. The child was unharmed and did not need medical assistance. THEFT: Mark Rhyan, Jeffersonville reported the Post Office delivered a package to his home and when he returned home, the package was not there. THEFT: Jenny Riley, Washington CH reported money may be missing from an organization she is in charge of and that several checks have been returned as insufficient funds. The matter remains under investigation. BURGLARY / THEFT: Amy Harper, Washington CH reported her residence had been forcibly entered and property removed TRAFFIC CRASH: Lois Mason reported she was attempting to make a left turn into a residence on SR 207, when she failed to observe another vehicle heading north bound on SR 207 and turned into its path and was subsequently struck. The other vehicle driven by George Obannon, of Obetz sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene. Obannon s passenger sustained injuries and was transported by Tri-County EMS to Grant Hospital. Mason was cited for Failure to Yield on a Left Turn. UNRULY CHILD / DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A female resident in Bloomingburg reported her 16 year old daughter became unruly and refused directions in the home. When confronted about

3 her behavior she began shoving the complainant. The reportee declined to pursue charges in this incident. MENACING / TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Anna Conger, Jeffersonville reported she has been receiving numerous unwanted and threatening text messages via social media from a known person. The messages were reviewed and Conger was referred to the Village Solicitor if she wished to pursue charges. TRAFFIC CRASH: Christopher Gray, Jeffersonville reported he attempted to turn into his driveway at too high of a speed and slid in the gravel striking the neighbor s home. The home is owned by Bobbie Richards, Jeffersonville. Gray was cited for Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle THEFT: Aimee Ross of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown removed her vehicle from her residence. The vehicle was located a short time later and returned to her. TRAFFIC CRASH: Julia Phillips, of Zanesville, reported she was attempting to back out of a parking space in the gravel parking lot at the Fayette Co. Fairgrounds when she failed to observe the vehicle parked behind her and struck it. The other vehicle owned by David Baker of Cardington, Oh sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. Phillips vehicle was not damaged. THEFT: Natalie Palma, Cincinnati reported during the Don Scott Antique Show at the Fayette Co. Fairgrounds someone removed merchandise from her booth without making payment. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Phantom Fireworks reported person(s) unknown forcibly entered the business and removed property from a storage trailer. THEFT: Becky Costilow of Washington CH reported after returning home she observed a house key missing from her residence. CIVIL: Lori Moore of Bloomingburg reported when known subjects vacated her rental property it had been damaged. THEFT: Katherine Mahorney of Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown removed her son s bicycle from her residence. THEFT: Felix Cruz of Kansa City, KS reported person(s) unknown removed the license plates from his vehicle. BURGLARY/THEFT: Richard Anders of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered his residence and removed money without permission. CIVIL: A Cincinnati, OH resident reported a known person failed to meet for a child custody exchange. THEFT: Gusweiler Toyota reported several keys missing from vehicles located on the showroom floor, inside the business

4 LOST PROPERTY: Brittany Wilson of Mt Sterling reported her temporary tag missing from her vehicle. THEFT/CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Matthew Alltop of Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown entered onto his property and removed a battery from a vehicle. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff s deputies made contact with a respondent and served the Protection Order pursuant to court order. He was advised of the guidelines and the consequences of any violations. TRAFFIC CRASH: Melody Darif of Washington CH was traveling North on S.R 41 and hydroplaned due to high winds and heavy rain. Darif traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a curve marker coming to rest in a field. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. VIOLATION OF PROTECTION ORDER: Lillian Howard of Jeffersonville reported a male subject was at her residence and she has an active protection order against. Sheriff s deputies made contact at the residence locating the male subject. William Howard of Grove City was arrested and charged in the offense DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to S.R 729 on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. BURGLARY/THEFT: Johnny Lute of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered his residence and removed items from inside. ILLEGAL MANUFACTURE OF DRUGS OR CULTIVATION OF MARIJUANA: Doug Barton, of Sabina reported finding a marijuana plant growing on property near his home. The plant was confiscated and placed in evidence. JUVENILE OFFENSES: A Jeffersonville mother reported her 8 year old daughter was hit by a tennis ball by an 11 year old neighbor boy. The child was not injured and the mother declined charges. Contact was made with the male juvenile and his guardian and they were advised of the complaint VEHICLE DAMAGE: Stephanie McIntosh, Wilmington stated while sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot of Tanger Mall, an unknown male in a vehicle parked beside her, opened the door striking her vehicle causing damage. The male departed prior to deputy s arrival. FIRE: Abdirahman Yusuf, of Minneapolis, MN stated he was driving south bound on I-71 near the 65 mm, when smoke began coming out of the vents in the cab. Upon pulling over to the side of the road and the fire subsequently engulfed the vehicle. Jeffersonville Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Rockney Reed, Greenville, Oh, reported the tool box on his truck had been forcible entered, while the vehicle was parked at the Quality Inn, Jeffersonville. Upon checking the tool box he did not find anything missing

5 BREAKING & ENTERING / THEFT: A passerby observed a suspicious subject in the area of a residence in Bloomingburg. Upon checking the area two firearms where located hidden in the bushes near the residence. Upon checking with the resident he identified the firearms as his and that they had been taken from his detached garage. The firearms were returned to the owner. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Employees of Jackpots Skill Games, Washington CH, reported they had previously advised a male subject not to be on the premise. He returned. Arriving deputies advised him if he returned again charges would be filed. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Beth Burge, Washington CH reported she had become involved a verbal altercation with a known subject which escalated into a physical altercation. Burge declined charges in this matter. DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY FIGHTING / ASSAULT / THEFT: Deputies responded to a report of a fight between inmates in the jail. Upon reviewing video and interviewing the involved parties, it was determined that commissary items had been stolen from another inmate which resulted in the assault. THEFT: Employees of the Travel Center of America reported an unknown female removed merchandise from the business several days before and had just been noticed on their video surveillance system. TRAFFIC CRASH: Deputies responded to a report of a hit-skip traffic crash at the Creamer Cemetery, Jeffersonville. It was determined that an unknown vehicle was south bound on SR41 and ran off the roadway at Creamer Rd, striking the chain-link fence around the cemetery and departed. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Kristina Duncan, Washington CH reported someone scratched the hood of her vehicle while it was parked outside her residence DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A complaint was received of a domestic incident on Colonial Dr Jeffersonville, Ohio. Upon completion of the investigation it was determined that an assault had occurred. Alan Creamer of Jeffersonville, Ohio was arrested in the incident. ASSAULT: Deputies responded to 3000 block of Miami Trace Rd on an assault complaint. Both parties had conflicting stories and no signs of an assault were visible on either party. Both parties were referred to the solicitor. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a report of a domestic incident on Jamison Rd. Upon arriving in the area all the parties had departed. One of the parties was later located. Parties denied any physical assault and attempts to contact the female by telephone were unsuccessful. THEFT: Rock Dunaway, Washington CH reported he left his vehicle overnight at J s Café on the June 18/19. Upon returning the vehicle was missing. TRAFFIC CRASH: Byron Bartholomew, of Washington CH reported he was traveling south bound on SR 38 near Yatesville, when two deer entered his lane of travel. He subsequently struck one of the deer and sustained minor damage to his vehicle. The deer was not located and the vehicle was driven from the scene.

6 TRAFFIC CRASH: Rodney Roberts, Ludowici, Ga reported he was attempting to make a left turn on the lot of the Travel Centers of America lot, when the trailer of his semi-tractor trailer vehicle tracked into the tractor of another parked truck. Both vehicle sustained moderate damage. BURGLARY: Stacy Burlile, Washington CH reported a female forced entry to her residence while she was at home. This female was assisted in entering the residence by another female that was outside. Burlile confronted the suspect in the residence and both suspects fled in a vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently located and the occupants were identified as the suspects. Tisha Dunn and Kristina Hurtt, both of Washington CH were arrested and charged with this offense DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Bloomingburg on a third party report of a domestic incident. Upon arriving at the residence the female, had already departed, but was located in the village. The male, was present at the residence. Both parties denied any physical altercation or threats and confirmed that it was only a verbal argument. ASSAULT / UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE: Deputies responded to a third party report of a fight in a room at the Baymont Inn. The investigation is pending. TRAFFIC CRASH: Storm Ratliff of Washington CH was traveling south on Snow Hill Rd and struck a dog in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Angel Miller of New Holland reported a known suspect sprayed chemicals killing the grass in her yard. Miller declined prosecution in the matter. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY THREATS: Angela Lebeau of Washington CH reported while in a verbal argument with her husband her was threatened with physical harm. James LeBeau of Washington CH was arrested and charged in the matter. ASSAULT: Penny Draves of Washington CH reported while having a conversation with a known subject she was assaulted. Draves was referred to the solicitor for possible charges DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A dispute between two family members initiated a report being made. The female declined to pursue charges. THEFT: Jasmine Camelin, of Columbus, reported while inside the Nike Outlet store at Tanger she left her cell phone inside the store and upon returning to collect it, it was no longer there. Video of the incident was obtained and showed and unidentified male removing the cellphone from the store. THEFT/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Kaili Adams, reported while at Jays Corner Bar an unknown person(s) smashed the window out of her vehicle and removed property from the vehicle SEARCH WARRANT: A Fayette County man was arrested Friday evening and charged with several counts of drug trafficking following the execution of a search warrant at his residence. Detectives from the Fayette County Sheriff s Office and the US 23 Major Crimes Task Force served the search warrant around 5:50 p.m. at the home of Kenneth E. Payton, 418 E. East Street in Washington Court House. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, detectives continued their

7 investigation Friday evening with the execution of the search warrant following a lengthy investigation of criminal activity over several months. Detectives detained several subjects at the home during the search warrant execution but only two were charged. The resident, 62 year-old Kenneth E. Payton was arrested and charged with the following: Trafficking in Drugs (Oxycodone), a felony of the third degree, Trafficking in Drugs (Cocaine), a felony of the fourth degree, Trafficking in Drugs (Alprazolam), a felony of the fifth degree, Trafficking in Drugs (Marijuana), a felony of the third degree, Donald O. Hayner, Age 62 of 416 ½ E. East Street in Washington Court House was issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana at the scene and released. Others subjects at the Payton residence that were detained during the execution of the warrant were released at the scene by detectives. During the search of the home, substances presumptively identified as marijuana, cocaine, oxycodone, and alprazolam were seized in addition to numerous articles of drug paraphernalia, firearms, and a substantial amount of U.S. currency. Payton was transported to the Fayette County Jail and incarcerated, however posted bond on Saturday morning and is scheduled to appear for arraignment before the Washington Court House Municipal Court on Wednesday, June 22, Upon conclusion of the case file preparation, detectives will present the case to the Fayette County Prosecutor s Office for their review and further action. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Biddle Bl in the Village of Bloomingburg on a Domestic Violence complaint. Upon arrival both individuals involved made counter claims of Domestic Violence against each other. Krystal Collins and Christopher Steele were arrested and transported to Fayette County Jail. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Stephanie Wilson of Washington CH reported sometime during the day while her vehicle was parked at her residence the mirror was damaged on her vehicle. THEFT: Timothy Calentine, of Washington CH, reported unknown person(s) removed property from his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of his residence. THEFT: Employees from the Village of Jeffersonville contacted the Fayette County Sheriff s Office regarding a theft of village services. Employees reported that they had turned the water off to a resident due to nonpayment and that they later discovered that the water had been turned back on without permission. THEFT: Timothy Calentine, of Washington CH, reported unknown person(s) removed property from his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of his residence. THEFT: Employees from the Village of Jeffersonville contacted the Fayette County Sheriff s Office regarding a theft of village services. Employees reported they had turned the water off to a resident due to non-payment and later discovered the water had been turned back on without permission TRAFFIC CRASH: Christina Johnson of Hillsboro, OH was traveling south on US 62 when her vehicle became disabled causing her to travel off the right side of the roadway striking a guardrail. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Georgia Beaver of Washington CH reported she was involved in a verbal altercation that led to her being physically assaulted. Michelle Williamson was arrested and transported to Fayette County Jail on the charges.

8 THEFT: Orange Cab of Columbus, Oh reportd they transported a subject and upon arrival at the destination the subject couldn t pay the cab fare. Rashaan Fuquaswinney of Hesperia, Ca was arrested and transported to Fayette County Jail. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Hess Rd on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred TRAFFIC CRASH: Devell Spinks of Fort Worth, TX was traveling west on US 35 and struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. TRAFFIC CRASH: Christa Ferguson of Columbus, OH was traveling north on SR 207 and lost control of her vehicle. Ferguson traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a guardrail. Ferguson continued off the right side of the roadway overturning coming to rest in a waterway ditch. All occupants of the vehicle were transported to a medical facility for treatment of injuries. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. MENACING: 17 year old juvenile of Jeffersonville reported receiving threats from known subject. Contact was made with the guardian of the victim at which time a report was requested on the offense. MENACING: Brittany Curnutte of Jeffersonville reported she was threatened by a known subject. Curnutte declined prosecution but requested a report be taken on the offense. TELEPHONE HARRASSMENT: Brittany Mann of Jeffersonville reported she received twenty two missed phone calls from a private number. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sukhwinder Singh of Winnipeg, MB was stopped at the traffic signal exiting the TA parking lot. Marshall Goodwin of Washington CH traveled to the right side of Singh s vehicle. Upon making a right turn Singh struck Goodwin s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the crash DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Joanne Dr on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats had occurred DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Jasper Coil Rd on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats had occurred. BREAKING & ENTERING/ THEFT: Cohen Recycling reported person(s) unknown forcibly entered the business and removed property. CRIMINAL TRESPASS/THEFT: Cody Bowen of Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown entered onto his property and removed property. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jason Faul of Washington CH was traveling west on Matthews Rd. Faul took evasive action to avoid a deer in the roadway. Faul traveled off the right side of the roadway

9 striking a concrete culvert. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. TRAFFIC CRASH: Kyle Daily of Cedarville, OH was traveling on Allen Rd and made a right turn into a parking lot. While making the right turn Michael Manna of Glendora, NJ attempted to go around Daily on the right side striking the trailer tires of Daily s vehicle. No Injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the crash. FOUND PROPERTY: A Sheriff s deputy responded to US 62 near Rowe-Ging Rd on a found property complaint and took possession of keys located in the ditch are near the roadway. MENACING: Retha Payton of Washington CH reported a known subject came to her residence and threatened her. Payton was referred to the solicitor for possible charges. UNRULY JUVENILE: A report was made regarding an unruly 16 year old male. Charges were filed with the Juvenile Court in this matter. TRAFFIC CRASH: Ronald Butcher, Jeffersonville reported he was south bound on SR 41 when a deer entered the roadway and was subsequently struck. Butcher s vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. TRAFFIC CRASH: Eddie Shepard, Willksville, Oh was north bound on SR 207, when he attempted to pass a John Deere Farm Sprayer, driven by Mark Sanderson, of Washington CH. As Shepard started to pass, Sanderson turned left onto Miller Rd. Shepard struck the left rear tire of the sprayer. The sprayer was not damaged, however Shepard s vehicle sustained disabling damage. Shepard made arrangements for the vehicle to be towed at a later time CIVIL: Pansy Troute of Washington CH reported a land contract with known subject and after non-payment for several months the subjects vacated the residence. Troute stated that the residence was left dirty and damage was caused to the interior. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: While on patrol Deputies made contact with Michael Therrien, age 24 of Washington CH. and it was determined he was intoxicated. Therrien was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Deputies received calls from Sarah Thomas, age 33, requesting assistance. Upon arrival it was determined Thomas was impaired to the point that she was unable to take care of herself. Thomas was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a reported domestic dispute on Joanne Dr. Upon arriving at the scene the male subject stated that there were no threats or physical altercation and that his wife had already departed. Several attempts were made to contact the female. Her welfare was confirmed by a third party. THEFT: Employees of Tommy Hilfiger Outlet, Tanger Mall reported two females removed merchandise from the store without making payment. Two females matching the description given were located and a search of their property did not produce any stolen merchandise.

10 TRAFFIC CRASH: Jillian Heyl, of Cincinnati, reported she was south bound on I-71 near the 76 mm when a tire came off another vehicle and entered her lane of travel. Heyl s vehicle struck the tire and sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene DOGS AT LARGE: Charles West of Washington CH reported while riding his bicycle on Leslie Trace a dog ran into the roadway striking his bicycle causing him to crash. RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE: The dispatch center received a delayed hit on a vehicle that was reported stolen from Madison Co. Earlier in the day the vehicle had been located abandoned at the scene of a one vehicle crash and had been towed. Madison Co. Sheriff s Office was informed that the vehicle had been located. VEHICLE DAMAGE: Jason Wunderlin, of Washington CH reported as he was attempting to launch a boat into Deer Creek Lake his truck rolled into the lake and sank. The vehicle was towed from the lake. ROBBERY / BURGLARY: Christopher Hardy, Jeffersonville reported three known subjects forcibly entered his residence at gun point and removed property. Warrants were issued and all three suspects, Vercie Lark, of Dayton, Joshua Stump, of New Holland and Meesha Pettiford, of Washington CH were later located and arrested on these charges. TRAFFIC CRASH: A vehicle that was traveling northbound in the block of Reid Rd. and traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The vehicle left the scene of the crash THEFT: Old Navy reports three unknown females entered the business and departed with merchandise without making payment. TRAFFIC CRASH: Aaron Hidy of Mt. Sterling, OH was traveling eastbound on Old Route 35 near Inskeep Rd when Hidy struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage THEFT: Edward Smail of Stanfield, AZ reported he was scammed at the I-71 rest area for cash on a Game of Chance. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of Burnett Perrill Rd on a domestic incident. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no violence or threats of violence had occurred. THEFT: Betty Lingruen of Washington C.H., OH reported a known female was at her residence removed cash from her purse without consent. TRAFFIC CRASH /OVI: Deputies responded to a report of a one vehicle crash on SR 38 near Greene Rd. Upon arriving at the scene it was determined that the driver had ran off the right side of the roadway and upon returning to the road, over corrected and again traveled off the left side of the roadway into a field. The driver was subsequently determined to be intoxicated. The driver, Jeremiah Ivy, of Xenia was arrested on the OVI and Failure to Control.

11 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Sheriff s deputies responded to a report of an assault and possible theft in the area of Fent St and Railroad St in the Village of Jeffersonville. Upon arrival and investigating a male subject had assaulted a family member. Timothy Williams of Jeffersonville was arrested and transported to the Fayette Co Jail CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Milton Scales, Jeffersonville reported overnight someone damaged his mailbox. TRAFFIC CRASH: Helena Schneider, Leesburg was west bound on Rowe Ging Rd, and as she was crossing SR 41, she failed to observe a vehicle driven by Amy Paul of Greenfield that was south bound on SR41. Schneider subsequently struck the side of Paul s vehicle causing her to travel off the right side of the roadway where she struck a utility pole. Both drivers declined treatment by EMS. Paul s vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene. Schneider was cited for failure to yield at an intersection. POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUGS / TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE / ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS OF ABUSE INTO A DETENTION FACILITY / DRUG ABUSE / DRUG PARAPHERNALIA / TRAFFIC OFFENSE: During a traffic stop of a vehicle on S. Fayette St. the driver, Vercie Lark of Dayton was found to be driving on a suspended license. During this stop a K-9 sniff of the vehicle indicated the presence of illegal drugs. During the subsequent search of the vehicle a 3 tablets of prescription medication was found in the possession of Meesha Pettiford, of Washington CH. Additionally, Ashley Rohrer, of Washington CH was found to possess several items of drug paraphernalia. Both females were arrested on these charges. After arrival inside the jail, during the intake search, a plastic bag was observed on Rohrer s person. When ordered to surrender the bag she attempted to flush the bag down the toilet. The bag was retrieved by the Deputy and after further investigation, found to contain an illegal drug. Rohrer was additionally charged with Conveyance of an Illegal Drug into a Detention Facility and Tampering with Evidence. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Deputies responded to the Martin-Marietta Stone Quarry on SR 41 S. Upon arrival the care taker reported that he had located several subjects on the property of the closed quarry who alleged they were there to swim. The care taker declined charges and the subjects were released. FIRE: A fire was reported to a garage, belonging to Harold Raypole, on West St. in the Village of Bloomingburg. The garage was fully involved upon the arrival of the Bloomingburg, Marion & Paint Twp Fire Department. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. The garage and contents were a complete lost. NALOXONE USE: Deputies & EMS responded to an unresponsive female prisoner housed in the Fayette Co. Jail. Naloxone was administered and the prisoner was revived and transported to the Fayette Memorial Hospital for further evaluation. The matter remains under investigation. POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS DRUG: During a search of the lobby area of the Fayette Co. Sheriff s Office a package containing suspected illegal drug was located hidden in the lobby. ASSIST ANOTHER AGENCY: The Chillicothe Police Department requested that we attempt to locate a male who had fled their city following a domestic violence incident for which they had filed charges. The male, Raymond Baker, was located in a vehicle on SR 753 and taken into

12 custody. The vehicle was driven by Chelsea Funk of Chillicothe, who was found not to have a valid driver s license. Funk was additionally cited for this violation TRAFFIC CRASH: Brian Mullett, of Orient was south bound on SR-41 when a deer entered his lane of travel and was struck. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS / DRUG PARAPHERNALIA / DRUG ABUSE: Deputies responded to a reported unresponsive person. Upon arriving at the scene William Wilson was found unresponsive and in his immediate area several items of drug abuse material was found. Following his treatment, Mr. Wilson was arrested. THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE: Robert Sherwood, Newark reported his vehicle was removed from his place of employment without permission. THEFT: Employees of Sunglass Hut, Tanger Mall reported two males removed several sets of sunglasses from the business without making payment THEFT: Stanley Welsh, Bloomingburg reported several tarps were removed from McElroy Transport trucks while parked on Robinson Rd. CIVIL INCIDENT: A female reported a known subject left her daughter in the custody of a neighbor and departed the state without informing her. The female later located and collected the child from the neighbor s residence. TRAFFIC CRASH: Greg Terry of Crawfordsville, IN reported he was exiting north bound I-71 at the SR 41 exit ramp and failed to notice another vehicle ahead of him stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of SR 41. The other vehicle driven by Robert Coppola of Lowellville, Oh as well as Terry s vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. Terry was cited for Failure to Maintain Assured Clear Distance Ahead TRAFFIC CRASH: Robert Wead, of Worthington was north bound on Creamer Rd when he stated he fell asleep and traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a mail box post. The vehicle came to rest in a corn field. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Wead was cited for failure to control. ASSAULT: Deputies responded to a report of a fight involving numerous persons at the Bottoms Up Bar, Jeffersonville. Upon arriving at the scene it was determined that several subjects were involved in the incident. There were conflicting statements as to who the primary aggressor was UNDERAGE CONSUMPTION/ OBSTRUCTING OFFICIAL BUSINESS: Sheriff s deputies responded to the area of Miami Trace Rd and SR 753 on reports of a suspicious vehicle. Upon making contact, the passenger in the vehicle appeared to intoxicated and refused to identify himself. Tyler Drake of Washington CH was arrested and charged in the matter. TRAFFIC CRASH: Monica Broecker of Crescent, PA was driving south bound on I-71 and attempted to change lanes. She misjudged how close she was to another vehicle in the next lane. Broecker s vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by John Adkins, of Circleville. Two

13 passengers of Adkins vehicle reported injuries and were transported to the Fayette Co. Memorial Hospital for treatment by EMS. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene. Broecker was cited for a Passing Violation. TRAFFIC CRASH: Deborah Leonard, of Washington CH was south bound on White Rd when a deer entered her lane of travel and was struck. Leonard s vehicle sustained functional damage but was driven from the scene THEFT BY DECEPTION: Employees of Sketchers Outlet, Tanger Mall reported a former employee, made several fraudulent returns of merchandise to the store and had kept the money. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to US 62 on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of assault had occurred. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jack Smallwood of Washington was traveling east on US 22 and lost control of his vehicle. Smallwood traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a mailbox. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. Smallwood was cited for Failure to Control FAILURE TO CONFINE DOG: Taylor Jones of Washington CH reported sometime overnight two dogs killed several of her chickens. TRAFFIC CRASH: Todd Belton of Eunice, LA was operating his semi-tractor trailer on the lot of TA. Eunice departed the fuel islands striking a concrete post. No injuries were reported. FAILURE TO CONFINE DOG: Randy Smith of Washington CH reported his neighbor s dog entered onto his property and attacked his dog. TRAFFIC CRASH: Timothy Campbell of Arnold, MD was exiting IR 71 south at SR 41. Campbell initiated a left turn onto SR 41 failing to yield for a vehicle traveling north on SR 41 causing a collision. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the crash and were towed from the scene. Campbell was cited for Failure to Yield. BREAKING & ENTERING/ THEFT: Stephen Iseman of Greenfield, Oh reported person(s) unknown removed items from his residence while he was out of town. TRAFFIC CRASH: Griffin Ward of Washington CH was traveling north on Prairie Rd and struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash. MENACING: John Angeletti of Washington CH reported a known subject came to his place of employment and shoved him. ASSAULT: Jeremy Moore of Washington CH reported while incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail he was assaulted. Phillip Davis of Washington CH was charged in the matter ASSAULT: Sheriff s deputies responded to the Fayette County Jail on reports of two inmates fighting. Upon investigating Caleb Workman of Bloomingburg had been assaulted. Cody Moore of Washington CH was charged in the matter.

14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Nathan Day, Maineville was south bound on I-71 near SR 38 when a deer entered his lane of travel and was struck. Day s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. FAILURE TO OBEY TRAFFIC DEVICE / OVI: A Deputy observed a vehicle run through a red traffic signal at the intersection of Dayton Ave. and Van Deman St. Upon stopping the vehicle the driver, Josh Jones, was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested on this charge and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. BURGLARY / THEFT: Tamara Morris, Greenfield reported someone forcibly entered her residence and removed property. CRIMINAL DAMAGING / THEFT: Martin Blankenship, Washington CH reported his vehicle had become disabled and was parked on the roadside in Madison Twp. Upon returning to the vehicle the next day he found and window had been broken out and property removed. MENACING: Traci Price, Wilmington reported while visiting at a residence on Pearl St, she became involved in an argument with a known person. MENACING: Ralph Stegbauer, of the Fayette Co. Health Department reported while trying to inspect a residential septic system installed without a permit, he and the installer of the septic system became engaged in a verbal argument. The suspect reportedly threatened to cause physical harm to Stegbauer.
