3 SDS 2013 Competition Format Senior Division A 4 teams in the group. The teams play 6 matches with 3 points being awarded for a win and 1 for a draw. If points are level after the games, the head to head aggregate scores will be used to determine a winner Senior Division B 4 teams in the group. The teams play 6 matches with 3 points being awarded for a win and 1 for a draw. If points are level after the games, the head to head aggregate scores will be used to determine a winner Senior Division C 10 team competing in 2 groups. 3 points being awarded for a win and 1 for a draw. Winner of each group play in the final to determine the winner Senior Division D 14 team competing in 2 groups. 3 points being awarded for a win and 1 for a draw. Winner of each group play in the final to determine the winner Junior Division A 4 teams in a round robin league 3 points being awarded for a win and 1 for a draw. Points will determine final placing Junior Division B 9 team competing in 2 groups. 3 points being awarded for a win and 1 for a draw. Winner of each group play in the final to determine the winner
4 SDS 5-A-Side Football Championships 2013 General Rules of Competition 1) Each match will last 10 minutes straight through with no half time. There will be 5 minutes allowed for turnaround at the end of each match 2) There will be no head height rule 3) Rolling substitutions will be permitted 4) The goalkeeper must roll the ball out underarm. Pass backs will be permitted. If the referee deems time wasting, an indirect free-kick will be awarded 5) The goalkeeper has a protected area. If a defender actively infringes in the area, the opposing team will be awarded a penalty. If an attacker infringes, a roll out to the keeper will be given. If the goalkeeper comes out of the protected area, a penalty will be awarded to the opposing team. 6) If a player is given a yellow card, team managers are advised to take the player off the field of play. If a player is awarded a red card, they will take no further part in the tournament 7) Once a goal is scored the match will restart from the centre of the pitch 8) 3 points will be awarded for a win, 1 for a draw. In the event of a tie in the matches where medals or finalists are decided on league points, the result between the teams will determine the finishing position. If the match result was a tie then the teams goals scored will determine the winner. In the result of teams still being unable to be separated then a toss of the coin will determine the winner 9) Game will be started with a long blast of the hooter. Games will be ended by a double short blast
