2 What can go in my recycling bin? YES Remember: Do not jam boxes in the recycling bin. They will get stuck and will not empty. Keep glass bottles whole and recycling clean because it is hand sorted. Rigid plastic bottles and containers marked with these symbols NEWS Milk and juice cartons Green, brown and clear glass jars and bottles Magazines, newspapers and flattened cardboard boxes, Pizza boxes Steel cans, aluminium cans, foil and empty aerosol cans 2
3 What can t go in my recycling bin? NO Remember: Do not put recycling in plastic bags. BANANAS 3 Glass from windows, mirrors, light bulbs (including compact fluorescents), drinking glasses and crockery Nappies Paper towels, tissues, serviettes or cling wrap Vegetation Vegetation should be placed in your garden organics bin Cardboard or paper with food on it Garbage or food scraps Waxed cardboard or polystyrene, including boxes Break up all polystyrene and place in bag in red lidded bin Plant pots What goes in each bin?
4 What can I put in my garden organics bin? YES Remember: Cut up branches so they do not stick out of the top of the garden organics bin. Shredded green waste can be purchased from the Waste to help you keep your garden healthy and green. 4 Leaves, twigs Prunings, flowers Grass cuttings, lawn clippings Branches Broken up, with a maximum thickness of 75mm
5 What can t I put in my garden organics bin? NO Remember: Bundles will not be collected and NO PLASTIC BAGS Fruit and vegetable scraps Garbage Soil Weed seeds and berries. Place these in a plastic bag in the red lidded bin 5 Plant Pots Meat Garden hoses Timber or building materials
6 What can I put in my garbage bin? YES Everything NO Remember: that cannot go in your recycle or garden organics bins, including bagged weeds, seeds and berries, can go in the red lidded bin. Wrap all dust and fine material to prevent spillage when the bin is emptied. Do not jam rubbish into your bin. It may get stuck. Cultural Family Fun Day Riverside Park, Moruya from 11am 2pm Eurobodalla Shire Council and EKEN will this year partner together to deliver a Cultural Family Fun Day at Moruya Riverside Park from 11am 2pm today! Mayor Fergus Thomson would like to invite all members of our local communities to come on down and join in to celebrate NAIDOC Week. The day s activities will include; NAIDOC week celebrations Monday 2 Sunday 8 July 2012 Eurobodalla Mayor Fergus Thomson would like to invite all members of our local communities to join in and celebrate NAIDOC Week from next Monday 2 July. This year s event lines up with the first week of the NSW School Holidays and provides plenty of great opportunities for people of all ages to participate. Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan 2012 Pursuant to clause 31 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000, Eurobodalla Shire Council hereby gives notice of its decision to approve the Local Infrastructure Contributions Plan 2012 (LICP 2012). The new Plan will replace the Eurobodalla Shire Council Development Contributions Plan The new contribution rates will apply to development applications (DAs) determined from 4 July For DAs already determined but with contributions unpaid, the old rates will still apply subject to indexation. Architect / Designers Expression of Interest for Mud Brick Cubby Design Workshop Facilitator Council is leading an exciting community project to design and build a mud cubby to further enrich the new children s playground at the Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens. Council is looking for an inspirational designer / facilitator who is effective in engaging with the community, has a comprehensive knowledge of design principals and experience or knowledge of working with mud brick. The Designer needs to be available to facilitate a workshop proposed for Wednesday 25th July, on site Botanic Gardens.
