3 The trade-mark turquoise green buses of GT Travel, operating since 1969, are by now a very familiar part of the Icelandic landscape. Our fleet of 50 modern luxury and standard coaches and minibuses, including 4WD vehicles is amongst the newest in the country. Coaches can carry 9 to 62 passengers and are all fitted with either 2- or 3-point seat belts. Most coaches are equipped with heating/cooling ventilation system, ABS brakes, comfortable reclining seats and footrests. Minimizing environmental impact while maximizing road safety is our guiding light in the daily operation of the company, as well as in the longterm strategy planning. Our goal is to be a leading coach and tour-operator when it comes to passenger safety and environment. Moreover, we seek cooperation with companies where similar policies are maintained through active environmental practices. 4 History of GT Travel The history of the company GT Travel dates back to 1962 when Guðmundur Tyrfingsson, bought a 1952 Dodge Weapon from the US base in Keflavik. The car had been used as an ambulance for the military, which Guðmundur rebuilt and began using for corporate and school driving. The Dodge Weapon can be seen today gracing the entrance of the company headquarters in Selfoss. It was in 1969 that the first coach was built and the company took off from this point onwards, and more than 30 coaches have been built, including many smaller vehicles (for 20 passengers or less) which have been upgraded to coaches. Over the years, the GT Travel has changed from a relatively small firm to a coach company with 50 coaches. Although the times have changed since its foundation in 1969 the aim is still the same; to help visitors make the most of their stay in Iceland.

6 Safety - and Environmental Policy Environmental Policy Minimizing environmental impact while maximising road safety is our guiding light in the daily operation of the company, as well as in our long term strategy planning. We use the newest and least polluting coaches available on the market and today almost all our coaches fulfill the EURO III pollution standards. The newest coaches fulfill the EURO IV and V pollution standards, with even more stringent requirements. We have full teaching equipment for Eco-driving in one vehicle-the first passenger transport vehicle in Iceland to be fitted with this equipment. In our yearly environmental workshop, green driving is thoroughly discussed by the drivers and practical training undertaken. Safety is our goal Our goal is to work systematically so that safety is ranked highly, thereby ensuring that accidents and mishaps are as few and minimal as possible. Every year a safety and environmental course is held for all drivers. The course includes a valid first aid course taught by qualified instructors and in addition, all safety equipment that affects drivers and passengers is gone over in detail. Great emphasis is put on preventative maintenance and that vehicles are maintained and equipped relative to Icelandic road conditions. Our highly trained crew of onsite mechanics oversee all maintenance operations with our stringent environmental, safety and maintenance standards in mind.
