3 City of Peterborough Filming Application Technical Requirements Location Definitions: Full Road Closure - Road is completely closed to vehicular traffic. Lane Closure - A lane is closed to vehicular traffic. Intermittent Road Closure - Vehicular traffic is momentarily stopped at a specific location with the use of City Police Officers for a specified period of time. Sidewalk Closure - Sidewalk is closed. Pedestrians are detoured around the occupied location using other sidewalks. Travelling shot - Moving vehicles are escorted by police for a travelling shot within a delineated section of the City or a specified route. 5 City of Peterborough Filming Application Applicants should note that a filming permit will not be issued by the City Clerk until: 1. The Applicant has entered into a Hold and Save Harmless and Indemnity Agreement, otherwise known as the agreement, with the City; 2. Proof of insurance in the minimum amount of $2 million dollars liability, naming the Corporation of the City of Peterborough as an additional insured with 30 days notice of cancellation, is provided to the City Clerk, City of Peterborough, 14 days prior to the event. The City of Peterborough reserves the right to revise insurance requirements at our discretion. Insurance certificates submitted for film permit applications at City facilities co-owned with another party (e.g. Sport & Wellness Centre) must also name the other party as an additional insured. 3. All applicable fees are received by the City Clerk. Payment may be made at the City Clerk s office in cash, debit, Visa or Mastercard. Cancellation Policy When approval has been issued to any person, organization or group to hold an event, should it become necessary to cancel the event, any monies refunded to the organizer shall be at the discretion of the City Clerk. 7 Filming Application - Appendix B: Traffic Information Sheet Traffic Information Sheet Complete Road Closure: Road is completely closed to vehicular traffic. Road closure must be set up and traffic diverted as per the Ontario Traffic Manual, Book 7, (Temporary Conditions). Arterial and Collector road must not be diverted onto local streets. A detailed drawing showing detour route and appropriate signage is to be provided. (Fig 1.0) Lane closure: A lane is closed to vehicular traffic. Traffic can be diverted into other lanes or around the occupied location as per the Ontario Traffic Manual, Book 7, (Temporary Conditions). Please provide Typical Layout that will be used. Intermittent Road Closure Vehicular traffic is momentarily stopped with the use of City Police Officers for a specified period of time. Please provide vehicle/pedestrian stoppage time.
