5 2012 Baden Northwest Invitational July 18th-23rd TOURNAMENT RULES 1) There is no new inning after 2 hours and 5 minutes in all pool games. There will be no time limit for games on Sunday July 22th. 2) There is an 8 run rule after 5 innings in all games. 3) American League DH 4) A slide and avoid rule will be enforced. Runner must be within arm s length of the base. 5) The home team book is the official game book. 6) There is no re-entry for a player removed from the lineup. 7) This is a wood bat tournament. 8) Age limit is determined by Babe Ruth specifications 9) The American League Big Book covers all rules not discussed here. 10) Absolutely NO sunflower seeds are allowed on any of the turf fields. No metal spikes allowed on Auburn Mountainview. 11) No smoking, alcohol or seeds in the stands at the high school fields. 12) Coin flip for home team. Baden & Baden Red will be home team for all games during pool play. 13) The pool winners will play in the playoff round on July 22th championship day. The championship is Monday July 23rd. 14) The team with the best record will be the home team for all July 24th games. In the case of two teams having the same record, the below tie breakers will be used, starting with least runs allowed. 15) Tie breakers are in the following order: a) Head to head b) Least runs allowed c) Most runs scored d) Coin flip *In the case of a three way tie after the coin flip, when one winner is determined, the order between the remaining two teams is then determined by returning to head to head.
