Ten Metro North Railroad stations serve Yonkers; five major highways connect Yonkers with the rest of Westchester County, New York City and beyond. Yonkers has both Amtrak and Metro North. PARKS AND RECREATION Yonkers has over 70 parks and playgrounds. Kennedy Marina is a 15.9 acre park with a boat launch. Westchester is home to more than 900 technology related companies and employs nearly 14,000 professionals. IBM s global headquarters is located in Westchester as well as its world-renowned Watson Research Lab. Westchester also boasts a vibrant biotech economy. Nearly 20% of New York State s biotechnology workforce, 8,000 employees, is located in Westchester County. This is the largest concentration of biotech employees in New York State. Westchester is also home to Regeneron, the largest biotech company in New York. This biotech cluster is further complemented by the presence of premiere medical and research institutions such as New York Medical College, NewYork-Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical Center and Westchester Medical Center.
