Satulah Mountain Hike: Minutes The Satulah Mountain Trail is a moderate 1.6 mile hike along an old road bed to a peak of 4543 ft. just south of Highlands. There is a 270 view to the south, east, and west. Sunset Rock Hike: Minutes Take in a bird s eye view of the town from the top of Sunset Rock! A short hike leads you to a natural cliffside amphitheater. Walk Through The Past: Minutes A historical 1.5 mile walk around downtown Highlands. Learn how Highlands began and developed into one of Western North Carolina s greatest getaways. Whiteside Hike: Approximately 2 Hours (24 hour advance reservation recommended.)
