5 Our Business Electric energy transmission is essential to the operation of an electricity market. This is the meeting point between generation and demand, and the means through which energy exchanges are made. Through its affiliates and subsidiaries, expands, operates and provides maintenance to high-voltage energy transmission systems, making it one of the largest international electricity carriers in Latin America. This is thanks to the 41,65-km high-voltage circuit that operates international interconnections between Venezuela and Colombia, Colombia and Ecuador and Ecuador and Peru, and its 77,71 MVA of transformation capacity. Operation and maintenance is performed in accordance with standards established by the regulator of the business in each of the countries where it operates, and it is supported by processes that ensure operational excellence and user safety. Through INTERVIAL CHILE and its five concessionaires (Ruta del Maipo, Ruta del Maule, Ruta del Bosque, Ruta de la Araucanía and Ruta de los Ríos), operates 97 km of highways in the southern country, extending from Santiago to the city of Río Bueno, making it the country s largest intercity road operator. Through its subsidiary INTERVIAL COLOMBIA, focuses its current management in Colombia on the search for business in fourth generation road projects. 7 participates in this business through INTERNEXA, a company that has managed to lay 26,7 km of fiber optic in 14 years, and operates the only telecommunications network that is open to all operators, interconnecting seven countries in South America. INTERNEXA, convinced that massive broadband and localized availability of content produced internationally and locally are the key to improving people's quality of life, has developed a strategy that enables it to become a Latin American leader in distributing relevant digital content. It has implemented a business model to provide telecommunications operators with access to locally migrated content in their Data Centers with the lowest average latency on the market. To this effect, it has set up lodging facilities in the major cities of the region where it interconnects the most important world-class CDNs (Content Delivery Networks) to its network. In addition, INTERNEXA develops a custom offering for each client segment, with three strategic focal points: : whose objective is to provide access to data transmission infrastructures for telecommunications operators and integrators (Business Process Outsourcing - BPO) that require a reliable infrastructure with high availability standards.
